As many of you know, the Necrons have a totally new direction and theme with their new codex. (For those of you haven't read up, you can find all the fluff in the first post of this thread http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/403994.page )
So, I was thinking a new direction means they should get a new theme song. For me, that song is Boadicea by Enya. I think it captures the feel of the direction I plan to take my Necrons in. A race without empathy, that feels no pain, willing to snuff out the very stars as they bring the galaxy back in line.
Anyway, that song suits my new Necrons, Lead by Overlord Anaxis, the Stygian Destroyer.
Basically, I want mine to be old school necrons, who will destroy everything and purge all life to restore a sense of order to the galaxy, with a bit of C'tan worship thrown in.

A longbeard when it comes to Necrons and WHFB. Grumble Grumble
I'm planning on using only the single eye heads from the deathmarks/catacomb command barge pilot (has some extra plating) in creating a Necron force that has one vision of restoring a particular C'tan back to it's full potential. Driven by this single purpose they plan to subjugate all life and their wayward brethren, bringing all back to the heel of the true gods.
I changed my mind, I think these Mass Effect themes work better.

The occasional synthetic piano somewhat reminds me of the Terminator theme...
Fitting.
I was watching an episode of Criminal Minds, and this song played while an Arsonist burned a family alive in their home, as he set flames about the homes, and as the family tried to escape. Only to die at the locked front door. It then shows the Arsonist in a full suit with oxygen tanks, unlock the door, and leave. I just though to my self, "Necrons!"
With the fluff change, minus the flayed ones/destroyers, the new army has sort of taken on a new view in my mind. I can see like a slowmo movie scene with peaceful planet. Sky darkens and black shapes descend through the clouds, destroying things as they come. Almost evil angels.
Song is called in the quiet absence of god by blue sky black death (fantastic group, NOIR is a great CD. Very relaxing and spaced out).
Fitting because not only are the c'tan gone, but no gods will save you from the fate necrons bring you.
Heres a little reanimation protocol for you.

Concerning songs referring to the Necrons I had once - fitting for their old fluff - chosen E Nomine with Mala
The text is german and was really fitting those old Crons.
But once in a game of Dawn of War: Dark Crusade with my Necrons I had a new one that I found better and I think it will fit with the new Necrons as well
Laibach with B Mashina!
(Can't see it anymore because youtube-copyright-germany-gak, but should be the right one )
Crash concrete by Theathre of Tragedy, also a rose for the dead has it dark moody thing that i give to crons.
