With the wheels in motion on my
Grey Knights project I thought, as the 6th edition allows allies, I would create some for my Grey Knights...
Story for the "Chapter"
Those Marines and humans gathered for the Chamber of Trials who fail the first right of passage; the pilgrimage through the haunted plains of Xanada Regio, are often slain in a second of entering. However not all are slain, some simply disappear to never be seen again; or so it is thought. Those who die are said to become one with the plains; making the plains even more dangerous for those entering afterwards. Those who disappear are said to be engulfed into another far reaching plain of existance, one outside the confinds and rules of this plain (perhaps even going as far as them entering the warp), where they undergo changes; similar to those of a Grey Knight novitiate to become a fully pledged knight. They seem to become one with this world and the "other" to carry out similar (if not identical) duties of a Grey Knight.
Perhaps the bodies and spirits of all those lost Grey Knight brothers have something to do with this.... however nothing is for certain.
The strange "knights" are said to appear when the Grey Knight strike forces are completely outnumbered and where all looks lost. No recorded event has ever occurred within the history of Titan's greatest warriors that they exist, as the Exterminatus Order is often used to ensure the destruction of the enemy killing millions of innocent but saving billions for the greater good, killing all Knights, enemies and evidence proving the existance of these strange group of knights. Perhaps these knights appear so that they can help fight along their "would-to-be" brothers till death. Or to save them, the bodies and the spirits of their Grey Knight counterparts from being lost to the warp forever.
To everyone other than the highly trained, these mysterious knight's apparel appear identical to that of a Grey Knights due to a psychic field preventing those not worthy to see the truth; although on closer inspection it is completely different. They are said to be dressed in red armour; the same colour as the uniform giving to those first entering the plains of Xanada Regio, to show their alliance to the Imperium and Grey Knights however displaying the fact that they are
not a group that equals the Grey Knight Chapter due to their failings. They fight in very small groups, often just 3 men strong often fashioning a jump-pack of sorts salvaged from wars past, present and even wars yet to come. Reasons for this fighting style is unknown although I could be seen as a way to demonstrating their strength to allies and foes alike.
*To be continued*
The way in which I probably intent to field them is used the rules for the Death Company from the Blood Angels codex as the rules seem to fit nicely with the fluffy on this "chapter", The Weeping Angels, but making sure that they are unique in every way possible.
So without further ado, I present the "Chapter Master" (to be fielded as a count-as Astorath to get past the death company restriction)
"Chapter Master ........"
His story is yet to be decided but I'm thinking of going along the lines of either he was the first to disappear from the Plains of Xanada Regio or perhaps he was a mysterious anomaly after an Exterminatus Order was issued, ripping a small enough whole in reality to allow him to escape his fate becoming part of the world where the Xanada Regio plain exists.
*To be decided*
He's mostly base coated and fashioned from mainly death company parts but will have grey knight, space wolf and a few other parts thrown in (and hopefully plenty of skulls!!), with all the other using the same sort of bits however I've just got to put it all together. Was thinking of a multiple number of names for the chapter using the word "Tear" somewhere in the name; so if anyone has some ideas please leave them before you go.
What do you guys think.... reckon the idea is a good one or are there bits you'd change... or maybe even add?
Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed, more to come soon

Just a quick update before I decide to sit down for the night, but here's the progess on "chapter master" so far.
Only has a single layer completed at the moment; highlighting is yet to come, but I'm not sure what colour to do the helmet or left shoulder pad. I'm wanting to do a blue or a green but not sure which will work best or whether either will work, what do you guys think?
