The second -=]_,=- sponsored, friendly, hobby-promoting terrain competition is...
-=]_,=- Contest #2 -=]_,=-
Cookie Package
"You must scratch build some terrain feature utilizing every different material you get after consuming a package of cookies...so foil, wrappings, container...whatever the range of cookies you prefer, you have to use a recognizable amount of the different materials thereof...
1. It must be based
2. You must provide at least 1 WIP photo, which makes it CLEARLY obvious it is built from coockiepackage materials (other additional materials are of course allowed) and at least 1 completed photo to be eligible.
3. It must be painted.
4. The deadline is September 4th, 2012.
-ALL Dakka Registered users are welcome to enter! Entry is as simple as Posting your work here on this thread.
-You may feel free to post running WIP shots here if you wish, or you may choose to keep it a secret and just taunt your opponents with banter, your choice.
-On September 5th I will judge the winner, who will be rewarded with a true LoER gem specially crafted for this occasion by me! The winner gets to set the parameters (and optional fabulous prize) for the next competition as well as become the judge for the next competition after he/she wins. The Judge does not have to stick to a material like I am, you instead may choose a theme such as "bunkers" or "sandbags" or whatever you wish within reason.
-Judges are not eligible to participate in the contest that they are judging...EVER. Judges set their own judging criteria on a per-competition basis. The Judge's decision is FINAL, feel free to Complain about it all you like, but know that it won't make any difference
Have fun, don´t let the cookies go to waste and join the competion...

Well we need to even the playing field some how
Although I will not be entering this one for 2 reasons, one RL is to manic at the moment no real spare time  second I hate trying to use soft plastic trays I always crush the dam things  
Hopefully by the next comp I will have the time, hey I might even have finished my first comp entry

that my friend is totally true to the comeptition rules!!! to all the others! please bear that in mind... whatever non digestable stuff comes with a full package of cookies... it has to be used...
dave... your pic absolutly is the kind of pic that is needed...shows the contens and the materials about to be used...and even gives me a nice show of cookies around the world
and LDD... BECAUSE i like to see peeps get accustomed and tame the soft materials i came up with this theme for the comp at all...it is THE broadening of hoizons i am after will shamelessly nick every idea i can get away with^^

You won you're the master no argument here Vik " bowing down and cowering at the same time " its just I cant get on with soft packaging myself.
Mind you are you calling for cookies or biscuits in general  as cookies are a pacific type of confectionary in the UK, which in my mind would limit the choices of packaging.
Plus does it have to be foil packs this once again makes it even more awkward to source materials, I don't want to be awkward honest just to iron out any kinks early.
I might have ago at something if I get the time thinking about, but you need to help me out Vik I need those lids you used for your UFO can you get me 2 I would be grateful

cookies and biskuits either way... it is not the type of contens but the packaging materials i am after... THE soft materials you are averse to... it is a test of strategies and to get the better of one's weaker self...
as a matter of fact... foil is also kina obligatory... mind you you needen´t have to use 20 square meters worth of foil understood? just a reasonable size of said material so that one can see what was used...
and i have atm enough to send you some... give me the start of next week and i send you those UFO lids! promise... BUT that makes joining the competition compulsory... deal?

I'm interested to see what glue holds the foil-ish plastic wrapper. I have books that refer to using "lead foil" which is hard to get, so I'll have to do some experimenting.
