I am attempting to make some marines/guardsmen who have servo harness mounted weapons.

what is the easiest way to make them?
That would be my first choice, but if it seems close to impossible, then where can I buy them from? (I really DONT want to buy the techmarine model with servitors.... as i plan to make AT LEAST 20 models!)

Many thanks!

You mean something like what Vasquez uses in "Aliens"?

Easiest way is to do a simple search on google, or even here on the forum gallery, then get crackin' with plasticard. Depending on the look you want, if you just want hydraulic arms holding weapons, or if you want a full exosuit/harness. For hydraulics two styrene rods with different diameters (or any type of rod, if you don't have styrene) works well, for mounting the 'hydraulic' usually a rotated piece of even thicker tube.

Here's some ideas after a quick search on the gallery, none of it is mine.

There's search functions in the gallery (not to mention the member list and forum search).

The harness guys are under 'section 9'; http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/images-52364-28158_Section%209.html

WOW... thanks Johnno... the look I'm after is definately picture #2... i.e. the marine with the thunderhammer.

I really am new to all this... I dont even know what plasticard is, so if there is a tutorial on how to work with plasticard that you know of, id be REALLY greatful if you could help me out!!

I appreciate all the help already, thanks mate!

Plasticard is most commonly referred to as styrene sheet. Tutorials will usually be pretty specific as to what they are for, like how to build a specific weapon or such. Usually it's just down to practice and imagination. Plasticard acts like the gray plastic from GW, so you can cut, shape, file/sandpaper and glue it just like you would with GW's plastic.

My advice would be to just buy some and start experimenting. If you want stuff to read you can hop over to google, or look around here on dakka:

That should get you started, but as I mentioned it's mostly about practice.

Another possibility is active usage of the Tentacle Maker to create a bunch on dendrites and cables in tandem with some appropriate bits.
Probably easier to do than playing with styrene rods and sheets. And less prone to break.

With this kit, you can do this kind of thing (the miniature is not mine, it's from a friend) :
