Angry Badger just released this new terrain set, Goblin Camp. Seems timely and affordable.

It's laser-cut MDF, and less than $18. Shipping is $3 for me, but it looks like it's based on weight.

I think it looks great for the price.

I assume it is no small coincidence that this is similarly named to a new LotR product

At less than 1/3 the price this looks pretty good!

Just need to find some ladders to "complete" it

It's possible that the Badger was angry at GW's prices... I'll email the company and suggest ladders. I think they should be fairly easy to add.

What are they made of? If resin, I'd be worried about the 'poles' snapping. Easy enough to replace though.

Good to see someone's spotted the market gap caused by GW's grossly overpriced equivalent

Which is weird because it is one of the few times where it makes sense to have skulls! (and many of them are animal to boot)

But I dislike the random body parts laying on the floor from the gw kit. If I wanted them, I would add them myself!

Just heard back and ladders will be added soon at no extra cost.

This is a very cool and timely addition if I actually start playing with the mofaux I bought I'll be sure to grab some of these. Great for a mining/shanty old west style town

Are you sure this company is still in business? Everything out of stock. Almost no content on the website and his blog ends 2010.
Other than that, some nice affordable terrain there.

The 2012 copyright and a new release would make me think so

Can't order, his software won't let the order go through if the product is not listed as in stock.

Actually, he is just getting his website up and running. He was expecting it to be up in early January, but when he saw the Hobbit prices, he wanted to "strike while the iron is hot".

He will cut the terrain if an order is placed, but I think the holidays are slowing him down (family obligations).

You cannot place an order on an out of stock item, his software will not allow it, I tried.

Too bad otherwise I'd order a ton of his $0.00 Warp Portals

Definitely some good looking stuff there. Any clue on scale though? I know LOTR is smaller than 40K/Fantasy, but I have no clue if it's off enough to look weird in 40K/Fantasy. I'll probably be picking up a couple of the Goblin Camps for 40K/Necromunda style terrain.

The tower http://www.angrybadgeronline.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=60&product_id=52 is really slick and very reasonable priced!

The 0.00 prices will obviously change as he gets the site finished. He's really going to be kicking himself for not checking his Facebook...

Looks like it will take two weeks for him to get stocked up.

Sorry guys. I guess I jumped the gun. He sent me the link to see what I thought and I assumed it was ready to go. I thought the stuff looked good and the timing was excellent, so I posted it.

Nothing wrong with generating some hype

It looks like he's updated the site some. I guess he's not sure about selling the "Fargate" as it is.

Descriptions and shipping have been updated. Orders can now be placed, but they might not ship for 2 or 3 weeks...

I ordered a couple sets of what used to be the Goblin Camp...

Shipping was very cheap which was nice (I'm in the US).

Once they arrive I'll see how they work with my set from the GW Hobbit gme box. I may end up ordering more. These look like they will do well for pulp and Dark Africa gaming, serve as docks for my pirates, and other uses.

Once they arrive I'll make a mini review topic which I'll expand as I paint and then use them.
