Hey everyone, You may have already heard about Anarchy Models from our range of conversion bits and resin crystals, but now we have something totally new to show you!

We are running a kickstarter (which is now live) for our HD Stencil System.
The project is for a range of stencils to create awsome paint jobs on your miniatures (but could be used on anything with the right paints)

We have 10 designs to show you so far,and we will hopefully un-lock many more during the kickstarter.

we have lots of exciting pledge levels, including some great value early bird pledges.

over the campaign we will also add more bespoke levels too.

check it out!

I love stuff like this, the only other product I know of is Critical Mass Game's MaskFX sheets (who also seem UK-based?). That hexocam Tau tank looks awesome. Also like the hex grid and the dragon scales.

I like it and pledged for the 19 pound level. Normal price of 8 pounds per sheet seems a little high, though. How far does a sheet (say hexo) tend to go? I'm thinking I'll want 3 of the same sheet to do 6 walkers and 5 tanks? Rather than 1 of each of different kinds of sheets.

Thanks!

Well it depends on what sized vehcile you mean, and how many stencils you want to use use.

but, i think i can guess which tanks you mean :-p , 1 sheet (which is A4) with the hexo cam will do around 4 x 28mm heroic tanks
so even if you dont re-use them , thats £2.25 per tank, seems a good price to me, heh.

So anyway, your pledge should be plenty do do what you have in mind if its 28mm stuff.

this is for a 3 colour scheme like in the pics. the digi cam is similar in the amount used per vehicle.

other sheets vary in how many vehicles you will do, some do more, some do less, but its also about how you use them.

cheers,
Brian

Thank you very much

Actually, the tanks and walkers I have in mind are from Dreamforge Games, so maybe not the ones you were thinking of . Six of the 15mm (4.5") walkers (so not the giant ones), and 5 of the APCs.

Cheers for the quick reply! Of course, since Dreamforge's APCs aren't until wave 3, I'll probably have the stencils before them... but I can try them out on the walkers

Edit: Ninja'ed by the creator!

As you can see from the comments so far, Dakka was definitely the place to show this off . I'd be curious at the end in knowing how much traffic came from Dakka, the total is about 4 times what it was when I pledged early this morning and almost funded!

I've been chomping at the bit to use my airbrush more, and this looks to make it much easier to get great results on vehicles, so it's a no-brainer for me

Any idea how prices are going to differ pre/post kickstarter? If I want to get more after you start production how much is it going to cost to maintain zee armies?

I have two thoughts.

First, this would do well on DZC models, assuming the detail isn't too large, but I think it would work.

Second, feathers?

The planned RRP is £8.99. per A4 sheet

as mentioned above, you'll get multiple vehicles done from one sheet, and depending on the design/model/paint and care of removal they are semi-reusable to varying degres.

i dont think detail on the model is a problem, but some designs may work well on DZC.

hmmm, feathers. do you mean wings? or what are you thinking?

Someone posted in the comments asking about using these on 15mm scale models, and this was Anarchy's reply:

Anarchy Models wrote:@ Stephen Stewart
Hi :-) some designs wont work well that small, and some will, so feel free to PM me and we can chat about what you are after.
As the campaign progresses i will try and look at making some 15mm pics for suitable designs.
As standard, most are aimed at 20-28mm, but there are planned un-locks for others that will be a range of scales. for example WW2 vehicle markings in a range of sizes on 1 sheet.
Also, i plan to add some limited pledges to let people re-size our normal designs.

Since Dropzone Commander is 10mm, I feel like it would also have issues with most of the designs being too big.

But it sounds like there is a lot of demand for at least one sheet of smaller designs (hello, hexocam!). So... a good stretch goal, perhaps as it also broadens the appeal. I wouldn't think you could do a lot of the designs in a smaller size, but just doing one would be nice

Also, are you really going to randomize the freebie for the lower pledge levels (who aren't getting all of them, if multiple ones are unlocked), rather than letting folks pick their freebie? It'd be nice to pick

IP laws don't work that way. The OP here has nothing to worry about.

By the way Anarchy, what kind of airbrush setup do you use? I really want to get one, but I don't know where to start or what to buy.

Also, backed by the way. Looking forward to some cool patterns.

I'm only speaking from my own business experience. GW are very strict about this issue, if you can convince the GW lawyers that they are wrong fine, I just wanted to flag it as these guys might not be aware of it.

Looks great. I went down for 10. If I could make a suggestion, please add photos of the sheets that aren't yet displayed on the KS page. Digital #1 for example (and how does it differ from #2?)

Also, skull mesh doesn't appear to be one offered yet? Stretch goal?

The hex and digi camo designs look super useful. I too would like to see those same designs also in a smaller scale - not only to make them useful for small scale vehicles, but just maybe they'd also work e.g. on 28mm infantry, especially armoured figures?

Things like dragon scales or the suggested flames seem rather niche interest - ideal for a one-off project, but otherwise hard to justify the cost.

Skull mesh just seems silly, IMHO.

I'm thinking something suitably Eldar... a series of curves which could be compiled to make up outlines and voids to create shapes like this, or things like vines or just generic curves.
