Thanks. Before for the heads I've been doing it all by brush using tallarn flesh as the base and working my way up to Reaper Fair skin. I like to do the shadows with blue and P3 sanguine base for the colour nuances. In the most recent terminators, I tried airbrushing dark flesh on a black primer basecoat followed by tallarn flesh in a zenithal spray with small highlights with fair skin. Pretty much gives me the same results in about 5 mins! I might try and get a step by step photo next time I do more bare heads.

Thanks Gundor! Orks are still a ways off since I have a ton of gray BA plastic. Maybe another year and I'll be done with this army.

The terminators look fantastic. The time put into the forgeworld pads certainly paid off. I, for one, would be interested in a barehead tutorial

I've been following your work for a while, and should really comment more. Everything looks great. Keep it up.

Terminators are fantastic, but the rifle dread is nuts.... Love the quality of the metals in particular!

Please do. I'd be very interested in seeing this. I'm trying to groc how you do zenithal on a head... and it escapes me... so I'll just look forward to your tut. Your work continues to be an inspiration. I marvel at the depth and dynamism that your painting conveys. More to aspire to for me! I think my own airbrushing has improved significantly since I started studying your results, but there's clearly more to learn.

Keep up the great work!

Awesome stuff as always mate! Although personally I do find the yellow helmets to be a bit pale and bright compared to the rest of the colour palette.

That rifleman dread looks sweet! I thought your style was awesome some 30-pages back... the look continues to improve on already impressive standards...

By any chance, has your army been mentioned on GW flicker-pool blogamathing? It doesn't seem right keeping this gem of an army all to our dakka-selves...

Your painting is envy-enducing as ever, but there's another aspect that doesn't get mentioned as often – posing. The way you pose the models is fantastic. The thunderhammer termies for example, they really look like they're swinging heavy unweildy hammers of power!

Great job

Really nice termies Eggy! lovely as usual with some great poses! I'm actually a big fan of the more pale lemony yellow helmets too, it's just a subtle difference that looks very striking against the rich darker red that you do, especially when coupled with the bright spot blue of the hammers and such! a very imposing and beautifully painted squad or two!

Thanks GD1. Borrow away!

Ok, so since it's been asked a few times, I took the opportunity tonight to take some army pictures. Currently the army occupies 6 shelves on two Ikea Detolf display cases:

My desk is no longer big enough to put this army on for pictures so I ended up putting it all on my coffee table. Still have some room left but I'm going to have to start looking for a bigger table soon for taking pictures or do it from the floor. It was nuts, literally took me an hour to take everything out and put it on the table...I have no idea how you guys that play this game with tons of models do it every time.

Anyway, I ended up taking about 70 pictures. Here are a select few (these are 1900 pixels wide, open them in a new browser window if it's scaling it down):

Sweet jumping Jesus that's gotta be record for largest display quality army ever!

That's a hell of an achievement eggy!

It depresses me badly that I have about an equal size set of BA minis and only about 15% of it done!

As always you are an inspiration and also a depressingly daunting digital kick in the ass lol

Aww snap, I thought there would be a large amount of awesomely painted models in your display case.

But I had no idea.

Seriously that is an amazing collection of models and I am truly envious.
