I used the opportunity with the new fantasy rules out to finally get me an army I actually wanted to play, but what I needed was a good theme for it.
I choose Ogres for two reasons.
1. they are probably the fastest fantasy army to build
2. I still had a half finished battleforce lying around

I was thinking for quite some time, how to get the best out of an Ogre theme army, since the normal Ogre fluff...well it sucks extreme. I finally stuck wiht one thing: Pirates, and that for mostly one reason. I head this Idea a few months ago, when the german WD released the rules for fantasy sea fighting. so I needed not only a ship fot my Ogres, which I still haven't found yet, but they needed to look right.

at first I did some small conversions like those guys here

this is my Butcher, or in this case, Smutje. a fat smutje with a pony tail, where did I get that idea from....?
I know the blood stains are pretty crapy, but I have no idea how to do it better, and some blood stains need to be on him, he's still a butcher



right now, it's nothin special, but I have a few more ideas I want to use. my next project, will either be a hunter (accompanied by some sharks ) or my Captain who will be based on the Man-Eater Pirate Ogre and a few bits I want to add *coughcoughcarnifexclawcough*
