There were not very many players, and I believe there was only a single massacre all day (by the eventual winner).

I may have the last 2 mixed up.

There was little to no army variety too. 3 nids 3 orks 4 mehreens 1 dark eldar 1 necron.

I was the necron and i wasn't doing too bad. The only thing that got me was that my necrons would get jumped, i'd take a couple wounds lowering my 10 LD down obviously failing my leadership and running having my 2 initiative bullcrap run down and rez orb not being able to help there. Oh my aching crons!

Had 8 players. 2 BA, Nids, Daemons, DA, Templar, Wolves, and chaos.

Had a major loss to Nids, but massacred Templar and chaos.

Being my first Ard boyz, I felt pretty good. When the Semi's come up do we have to use the same list we used in the prelim's?

Played at Avalon Comics in Silverdale, WA.

Placed 7th out of 8 with my ultramarines.

Got massacred by Ultramarines, tied against Blood Angels, massacred a mostly mech IG.

Had fun in the tournament, looking forward to next year.

1st game was against genestealer nids, would have been in trouble if he outflanked me, but played phalanx and shot him to death
2nd game new tau(he took third) he had a bye first round and drew with me. He played too slowly and only made it to turn 4, any more time and i would have had a massacre, last turn i popped three transports and was about to kill three squads of firewarriors and my ctan finally had two high cost units in CC, one more round they would have died out
3rd game came down to one roll against raider heave DE. He was going to phase me out but failed leadership after casualties and destroyed his CC unit by falling into my warriors, woulda killed 2 squads of warriors. KP were easy when i couldnt be phased out. So i got the massacre

although i had a terrible rolling day, i did alright, and learned three things i will correct for semis, but overall my strategy was sound and got a shiny new lith out of it
