Hi guys, next 15mm $)k army off the ranks, Space Orks, this is still very much a WIP, but thought I would share my progress thus far, still to add an armoured bull bar, fuel tanks, armour wind shield, detail inside the fighting compartment, more armour plates, machine guns, and heaps of rivets, thoughts?

Hi guys, the big gun trukk is down, apart from the painting, the 2 orcs in the back have had their guns replaced with arty rounds, any suggestions before I paint it? I an pic of the 2 smaller trukks, still a lot of work to do there, all C&C welcome.

Hi guys, added some details to these, some protruding exhausts and extra armour,and a running board, the extra armour breaks up the straight lines, I will add some to the smaller trucks as well, starting to look better, all C&C welcome.

Hi guys, my ever evolving 15mm Orc gun trukk is just about done now, I have changed the wheels to a bigger set, and added armour to the PaK 75 to hide its origins a bit, I just need to add a few more rivets and I will call it ready for painting, what do you think?

Yeah, I think the upgraded wheels look better, though you could try mixing up the big wheels in the back and have the skinny reinforced wheels in the front to give it that musclecar (muscletruck?) look that orks dig.

The weathering and rivets help pull everything together. Can't wait for it to get primed up so it gets all uniform (before getting orky).

Thanks CC, I would gave to remove all the wheels and play around with them to get it to sit flat, I'm happy with it as is, so will run with it.

Looking like a good start. The horns really make em' look like the oldschool Orc designs. Once they're green they'll be instantly recognizable.

Hi guys, one concern I had when planning my 15mm Space orc army was the seeming lack of Orc minis, I thought I may struggle with variety in poses etc, however I am finding that there is actually quite a large number of suitable figures, my Khurasan Brunt herd figs have just arrived and I am eager to start cutting them up and Orcafying them, here is a pic of the available poses, and a size comparison against 2 GZG and 2 Khurasan Orcy types, they are nice and hefty and will be great as heavier troops, I will be sculpting boots on them, cutting off the tails and faces and giving them orc faces, armour and helmets, happy days.

I think the bulky-ness is about right, though I feel some of the armor is a little too rounded for orcs proper. They tend to be sharper in their angles. But there is no doubt that they're big and mean for sure.

This is a crazy project, can't believe you've made it all look so good. Definitely inspirational, that's for sure, though I wouldn't try this scale with my butterfingers.

Just having a quick slapdash of color on them already has them looking good and orky. Weathering and chipping is going to be important on the truck to make it look proper bashed up, but I don't think you'll have a problem with that. Its a good start!

I think the coloured panels are the problem, definitely evokes wiggles for me.

Rust will help, but so would colors showing through on the truck from the 'donor vehicle' to break up the yellow. Painting a Bad Moonz vehicle straight yellow can be eyebleed sometimes, which is why a lot of guys use and undercolor of the looted vehicle, like Ultramarines for looted Rhinos or different Eldar craft. Helps break up the Taxi-Cab feeling.

Those guys are gonna look ace after a dip. What're you basing them on? Obviously a coin of some kind?

Damn! Those are some tough lookin orks! The nuln oil wash worked perfectly. It brought a bit more realism to the truck.

To be honest, I wasn't too sure about your orks. But seeing them with paint has really changed my mind. They look amazing! Very orky.
