Hi All Apoc is looking quite promising and some of those big army boxes that Brother CPT Ginn kindly posted in his price list would make a nice addition to my Christmas list but..... I can't seem to find out what's in them and whether the discount over individual boxes will be enough to persuade me to make an order. Does anyone know what the contents of these big boxes are? Thanks

Or you can buy a packpack that comes with the templates, dice, book and a pretty cool (realtively speaking of course) backpack for about $90, although I have seen it posted at $95.

You guys have missed it. There are several Apocalypse Army Boxes coming out soon... like the Emperor's Fist Tank Company box- nine tanks and a command tank, all in a single convenient box. There are others, but that's the only one I can remember. [Edit] Here's one thread: http://www.dakkadakka.com/Forums/tabid/56/forumid/6/postid/180142/view/topic/tpage/1/Default.aspx [Edit] Check out the GW website Sneak Peeks, there is an Eldar set & a Tau set as well.

Ah, ha that was what I was after ? thanks fellblade. Fool that I am I was looking at the GW advance order page for the info??
To take a couple of examples: Eldar cloudstrike squadron ? contains 3 falcons, RRP £50 ($90) which is effectively ?3 for the price of 2? Emperors fist tank company ? contains 10 leman russ?s RRP £150 ($275) which is £100 off the cost of buying them individually Space marine battle company ? contains 100 marines, 8 rhinos and 1 razorback, RRP £275 ($450) which by reckoning is £70 of the individual price
Some of these deals do look quite tempting although I?m not sure when I?d get the time to paint 100 marines!

Looks very much to me like they are "having a sale" without actually having a sale, which they swore they would never do again. If you see what I mean...

I kind off see what you mean, I wonder if it will work..... The main problem for me is that a) I don't have time to paint 10 russ's, 100 marines etc b) I'm not sure where I'd even put all these models! (of course that may not be enough to prevent me buying the things.... ) Going back on-topic, some armys are quite under-represented in the October release list. Does anyone know if there will be any more big boxes released in November? (I assume that any big boxes GW release will be before Christmas.)

I saw the boxset: IIRC it includes two Devastator squad sets, two Combat squad sets, a Command squad set, and three assault squad sets, six tactical sets. Plus the vehicles. It may include the Commander too, but I dont remember if it does (that would make 101 marines anyway)

(And yes, that's 106 marines, which is what it says on the front of the box.)
