Anyone know what I am supposed to be doing with the teleport homer that come with the terminators? Does it get its own base, and travel with the unit that has it? Should I be glueing on the base of the character that takes it? Casting it aside and using an auspex instead?

Any thoughts?

on a seperate base, so that when you deep strike your termies you can set them up in a circle around it.

Wow... that was fast.

I don't recall that being how it works in the Codex. Doesn't it just allow no scatter within 6 or 12"? (I don't recall which.)

I suppose it doesn't matter either way. Still, the thing is wierd...

Ignore him, he's mistaken or messing with you. That bit does nothing.

'Thast bit' does what you want it to. It is a teleport homer, but it is too big to be added to a model in a practical way.
I agree with using it as a marker to show when a teleport uses the homer bonus, but that is just for fun.

As I have two terminator boxsets have been considering having one ported around, by its handle, by an ordinary marine in my command squad. The maribne would be delegated to carry it by the character the homer is assigned to. Loss of that miniature has no effect on deployment of the homer, its just for a bit of fun to add character to the squad.

Yea, I think if the thing were 1/2 it's size, it would be neat to attach to a guy, but much like the melta bombs (which look like slightly smaller versions of early nukes) they are too large to put on models without specially building them to look right.

Thanks for the info! I might just put it on a base and carry it around, in case my opponant isn't comfortable with "the homer is totally in that man's pocket."

Same goes for the little goober that comes in the stealth suit box, except at least that bit is vague enough it can still be stuck on a suit somewhere and called a cyclic targeting array tracking marker pod.  Or whatever.

Third edition it would have had a use, but not in 4th edition.

IMO, I think the bit is ridiculous looking. it looks like a sump pump, or perhaps a small electrical generator to power space marine marital aids. Hell, it looks like a space marine marital aid all on its own.

Oh, you mean the demolition charges, I don't see them as practical melta bombs either.
