Totally agree with this. There's such a range of possibilities with the successor chapters, its a shame that with a few exceptions GW still focus so much on the 1st founding.

Um no then We end up with crap like crimson slaughter that no one wanted. Keep it simple and mostly toward the founding chapters or more well known successors like black Templars, crimson fists, flesh terrors, etc. most successor chapters are there in life for players to create thier own paint scheme or logo.

You do have a point about Crimson Slaughter, but at the same time, they were just a product of the same old lack of interest GW had in Chaos up until just... last month, actually. Who doesn't like the Crimson Fists/Flesh Terrors/Templars? The Angels of Redemption are pretty cool, too! I have a soft spot for Relictors, the White Consuls, even. Do you even know about the White Consuls?

Dramatis personae only includes the influential characters or armies in the history of the book, not a list of all notable armies in cadia.

A while ago there were these rumors from faeit about a bunch of different releases leading up to 8th Ed. One of them was a release with Prince Yriel and Sylandri Veilwalker. Many of the other releases on that list have come out - new Kharn, Ahriman, Magnus, Eldrad, new Rubrics, etc, while some were false - close combat Rubrics (maybe the CC rubric terminators count?). Could come together to suggest that she might get a release in the future.

If they are releasing a new edition then I hope they go all out with the overhaul of the rules. It's sorely needed.

Except that rumor is clearly garbage.

"8th Edition is kicking off next year but rather than do the usual starter set and massive rulebook with 2 armies facing off they will be releasing 7 starter set army boxes which will be the seven main armies taking part in a new campaign called "War in the Webway" which will be the first of five campaigns which will move the 40k storyline forward to the "1 minute to mindnight mark"."

Welp, already in the first sentence, they missed the mark since the first of five campaigns is not "War in the Webway".

They go on to describe the new models coming out in the box sets which aren't new anymore and came out before: (Rubrics and 'Prosperine' terminators, 'New' Kharn, etc). They give descriptions of the models they did get right (Magnus, Eldar and Kharn) that are way off (except for Eldrad).

And even with their 'Campaign 2' that kind of matches Cadia, the details are all wrong "Campaign 2 Is Eye of Terror area Chaos invasion (Blood Angels, Space Wolves, Dark Angels, Astra Militarum, Eldar, Necrons VS everything Chaos)"

So basically, someone came up with a bunch of darts, closed their eyes and threw them at the board. One or two hit, but the vast majority missed. This is pretty standard practice for Natfka, BOLS and other click-bait sites and why they have such a miserable record.

So Celestine has 2 Canonesses in her unit? So is the unit 3 ICs? Wow.... so she can get Hatred 2 times for one phase per game if her retinue passes the Ld test?
Still curious on Acts of Faith to other units, that makes no sense what so ever though, far less sense than psychic power buffs do. So some sisters pray and now the whole squad of SM/IG/whatever has Rending, Preferred Enemies, Shred, Ignore Cover or whatever units AoF that is close by you decide to use?

Or is it only AoF from her squad? Which would be Hatred from the 2 Canonesses (something Priests gives a whole squad automatically + Fearless).

Black Templars are my most favourite looking SM so curious to what combination they can be taken with sisters. Sisters in drop pods once again? They used to have their own drop pods back in 2E.

Ahh man don't remind me about that rumour. I wanted it to be true so much. Now I'm looking at it again and thinking there could still be some truth there if you don't take the campaign "order" as set in stone and account for some mistakes due to 2nd hand descriptions

Indeed Lady Atia is the real deal of a rumor mogner and a good one at that. I find its more often 4chan echoing her. Also people still get mad at that list of big things to come before 8th huh? Even though a great deal of it and then some has come true. Yeah there are some inaccuracies here and there but fairly minor. Also sometimes a model is completed and never brought out for production for various reasons. In video game world this happens all the time I can only imagine it's true for 40k.

You shut up. Atia is basically a Saint and I trust her word over GW's at this point. At least she would know that not every model with an inqusition symbol is a Canoness. Atia is 100% reliable and does good work getting us stuff to be excited about.
