I finally got my BS done. I played it in one game and I just been so stinkin' busy since then.

To make this beastie, I used two Defiler kits and used the How To from Warseer as a start. I wanted to have more guns on the tail, but I wanted it to have the cover, so I stuck with the two Reaper cannons. I tired to have the front claws out but it was off balanced, so the one is supporting the front of the model. I know I need more Khorn stuff on it, but I'm getting there.

One day, I hope to get to painting it.

So, without any further delays:

Sorry. The editor is kinda funny when you try to edit something with pictures. Not sure if it is something that needs to be fixed or not.

Please tell me what you think.

Thanks.

So, overall, how difficult was this thing to put together? I like the model, but sadly, I'm not super-talented at assembling these things.

Awesome, that thing is a much better alternative to a defiler imo. Also, anyone playing you can freely make transformer references.

This looks very cool! I can't wait to see it painted. How long did it take to put this together and/or do you have a tutorial?

Handy that your 2 defiler kits were different color plastics

Nice work, looks good and solid. My one quibble would be the "it's not a reaper autocannon?" tail gun. I think going with all 4 barrels would have been a much better bet, and would get away from the "2 twin-linked AP4 shots = 15 AP3 shots" dillema.

Perhaps for the next scorpion?

Thanks for the comments, guys. It means alot.

For me (with my limited time) it took around a week long to do, with around 30 minutes to an hour per day. For me the only difficult part was figuring out how I was going to work the tail. I cut the Defiler bodies and then glued them together. Then I figured out how to cover up the body and configure the flamers.

I know about the tail gun. I wanted to have multiple cannons, but I just could not get it to look right. When I make my next BS ( :S ) I will work the gun better.

I couldn't find the directions on Warseer. Anyone got a link?

Opps. Sorry for not posting sooner. Life/Work/Sex/Breathing got in the way this time.

Here is the link for the Warseer topic:

Brass Scorpion Guide

The painted pictures are on the first page, while the instructions are on the second page with pictures. If you look at his pictures, he has four legs on each side, I chose to go with 3 on each side instead. But that is just a personal choice.

Hope it helps. Cause it sure did for me.

Im not sure how old this thread is but I want to say thanks; managed to put together a Brass Scorpion similar to the above (but with the head on top; where it usually goes on a defiler)

Took about 3hrs to get it all put together including glue drying.

Thanks for the pics; since GW took down there instruction guides this was proberly the best place for pics to help construct. Cheers!

Nice and solid. I think the Brass scorpion is one of the iconic super heavies, and yours looks the part. Now paint it!
