Here's a simple conversion for IG Tarantula gun/searchlight emplacements, made (mostly) from bits most guard players have plenty of!

The video guide can be found here on You Tube:

and an image of the finished platform (with searchlight) tis attached below.

Enjoy!

I really like the entire concept and look. Was this for a client? Or just decided to make something fun ^_^?

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

Looks like a huge stand for a rather small searchlight.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion. By the juice of the brew my thoughts aquire speed, my mind becomes strained, the strain becomes a warning. It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion.

The Tarantula is problematic: it requires two dozer blades (one comes with almost every tank kit), a hatch ring (common), a rhino control panel (common), a predator lascannon turret piece (very uncommon) and various other common bitz.

So, if it weren't for the availability of the parts Tarantulas like this one could be duplicated ad infitum for $15 each, and painted for a like amount (not including two crew, which would be third that amount for both processes). So, $30 for assembly/painting.

How much to charge for the parts? It's hard to say. Probably $10 if I had them on hand (I'm fresh out of turrets, but I am working on a variant out of land raider lascannons), But $15 for materials if someone wanted like ten of them.

So, $60 each A-Z with crew.

Short question. Long answer.

Hey Jim,

FYI, you can now embed youtube videos directly into your posts.

I edited your above post to do just that.
