Whats the best way to model Vyper Shuriken Cannon upgrade? Cut out the center targeting node, or mount it just under it? Keep the Shuriken Cat's on, in the case you don't want to pay for the upgrade?

What do most people do?

A spare underslung Shuriken Cannon from the Wave Serpent kit is likely the best bet.

Oooooor you cut away the shuriken catapults and then just glue a shuriken cannon on the rotate-able part. VoilĂ , an underslug shuriken cannon. But for convenience, you can simply use method Asmodai.

P.S. does the new falcon comes with the shuriken cannon option, too? Or did they simply add the weapon sprue with all the diferent weapons for the turrent?

EDIT: Pics for clarification.

Yup. I've tried a few different methods and that would probably look and fit best.

I tried using the metal shuriken catapult jetbike bit for one conversion. It fits within the body of the model correctly, but I had trouble getting the canopy to fit in place snug. It's doable with some modification.

Personally, I think you are on the right track by removing the targeting node and having it center mounted in some way. I cut out the twin shuriken catapults on another model and worked on them until they looked like a suitable shuriken cannon and center mounted it. This seems to look and balance best.

I'd offer photos, but I haven't figured out how to take good pics with my camera yet.

Good luck.

No, the option only on the WS sprue. However, since I have Catapults on my two Wave Serpents and Cannons on my two Falcons, it's easy enough to just swap between the kits.
