They feel a bit busy to me. There is so much going on with so many little details picked out in very contrasting color that it's hard to keep focused on what is really going on with the models. I find myself getting lost looking at mundane details (rivets for example). The bases are also a critique point. I believe they're also detracting from the focus points of your models, they seem FAR too bright and distracts the viewer way too much. I would definitely tone them down a shade (or two maybe three) with a few washes of grey/black.

You might try limiting your palette more and being a bit more subtle in the detailing work. For example, highlighting the rivets instead of picking them out in red.

I'm also not a fan of the chaos star on the Chappy ^_-. Might try to find a bit to cover over that lil spot!

The bases are to go with the display tray which will feature the ruins of a Chaos temple.

This is not just a "me, too" post.

grey_death is 100% balls-on accurate.
If your bases will go with a display board, then tone down the color of the ruins. With them being so light/bright, your eyes just don't know where to focus.

Also... IMO, eliminate the green all together.
If you don't take that advice, I hope you'll take this: eliminate the green on the purity seals.

Stay "normal" there. Make them a red wak seal (not recommended, due to the amount of red already present) or make them metallic, like bronze or gold, to show that they're more than just honors.

I look forward to seeing a group shot of a whole unit (about a three foot shot).

.................................... Searching for Iscandar

I see on the guy with the mohawk blond hair...

14 colors including all of the shades/highlights?

Does that seem excessive to you?

I painted about 16 on my Slaanesh Noise Marines including several translucent colors, and it came out 'different' which is what I wanted but on the tabletop it looks 'bad' which is...bad. Just my 2.

SO bright, SO busy, SO shiny

Which, frankly, I really like. These are weirdly refreshing from all of the (IMO also very nice in their way) models that show "restraint in the name of art / realism" (read: sanity ). Personally I say all ahead full, this is cool stuff, and if you want to do so much work per model with all those colors, than be my guest. Always nice to see people pushing for OTT, particularly with the Bloody Angels of Bloody Angelic Death

Also, dig the green on the chappy's crozius, ver nice.

@ Stelek - I used three different shades of yellow to paint the mohawk. You must be tripping. If so good for you.

Note - My camera made the light colors come out much brighter which explains why the bases are so shiny.

I like them, only minor comments:

1: The red is a little too bright, but that can change in the context of your infantry.

2: The bases are a little much. I think they are built up to high and are a little unrealistic. I would put a darker color, maybe a bone or bubonic brown to keep focus on the model it's self, not the base.

Good effort there, nice to see a different take on Death Company.
Have you tried taking the pictures with the aid of a daylight instead of camera flash? It might help the pictures look a little less bleached.

I have to ask, are those Flesh Tearers icons on your marines shoulders?

I don't think he means JUST the colors of the mohawk...But the entire model.
