I saw some pictures online of a Destroyer lord with spider legs, so I decided to make my own. Let me know what you think of it.

Its nice but I think the legs would look better if they were touching the ground. Other than that I like it and I'll have to do it to my necron lord.

Thanks. I used the left over tomb spyder body to make this bloodthirster with a sheild.

I really like the idea, though I might have used narrower legs. Still, I agree that if the feet rest on the ground and carry the thing, it will look pretty darn cool.
I might also curl some so they are not all sticking out in the exact same fashion, just to give it the sense of movement.

the 'cron lord is cool, but the thirster's shield is amazing.

Is it possible to slimmer legs? Or would it look too weedy
on that model? One of my problems with thinking about
spider legged models is that when they're too thick they
don't look right, but modeling thin ones that are sturdy is
a pain (see Cryx Helljacks for examples).

The large legs make it look a bit more bird-like.

Why don't you give this a shot?

Base the base with grass and greens, and paint the stick black or brown so it doesn't show up as easily.

Instead of keeping the stick so high though, put it down about half an inch.

Then you can maybe pose the legs a bit more so it looks like it's crawling instead of how it looks now, like it's floating with weirdo legs.

Looks good. Like some of the others have said, I'd also give the legs some sense of movement.
