Following on from the "design my paint scheme" thread, here's my first attempt at a 2,000 point list. But first, some points:

This is envisioned as a "borderline" renegade chapter. They are the remnants of a chapter which mostly turned traitor. As a result, they are considerably less than the full 1,000 men, and so value Apothecaries VERY highly so there is no loss of Gene-seed. Also, their colours are very similar to a Traitor chapter (their chapter, in truth) so most Loyalist chapters shoot first and ask questions later - hence a reliance on sneakery (Infiltration, Deep Strikes, and a Drop Podded Dreadnaught). Their self-ordained mission is to wipe out the traitorous portions of their chapter. Also note the complete lack of Powerfists; this is because a) I ran out of points, and b) I want to do something a bit different. It's also designed as a bit of an all-comers list with an emphasis on handling elite armies better than swarms (the chapter is supposed to be good at fighting other (Chaos) Marines).

With those points in mind, here's the list:

Significant Divergence
+ Purity Above All (Pious, Veteran and Tac squads can have Apothecaries)
+ See but Don't be Seen (Courageous or Sombre, Tac and Dev squads can Infiltrate)
- Flesh over Steel (Only one tank, no Annihilator or Crusaders, Transports use up FA slots)
- We Stand Alone (No Allies)

I'm sure there will be a 15 disc super duper blu-wiener-ray edition that will have every little thing included. - Necros, on Watchmen

Is it so bad it's not even worth commenting on?

There is alot in there to digest. It seems that you want each of your squads to do many things. In addition to this it also seems like you have put this list together give what comes in just a few boxes rather than purchase extra to optimize squads.

Rule # 1 in my book. There are only 2 weapons that should ever go into a shooty tactical squad. they are lascannons and plasmaguns. The Multi Meltas are not worth the points. If the enemy has vehicles that can move with in 12" (the only time a melta is better than a lascannon) then chances are that squad will not be living long enough to fire that weapon.

Whats the deal with the command squad? its 248 points of dead weight. At least give it 2 plasmaguns and the captain a combi-plasma or flamer.

Why spend 35 points on a weapon you can get for 15 points in a tactical squad? you are better off getting Heavy bolters in those dev squads to handle infantry.

Also 10 man tactical squads are a waist. Cut them down to 4 6 man squads and have the other 2 troop choices be 6 man scout squads with sniper rifles and missiles.
