I've decided to scrach build a Warboss on bike for my army. This pic is the bits I intend to use on the project. I'm not sure you guys want to see a pic of every step I take along the way but a before and after I think would be cool.

I dunno. it's basically just a plastic nob glued on a toy.
altough you obvioulsy converted the bike, it still looks, weird. out of place.

Personally, I think it looks awesome. Can't wait to see it finished!

I do agree that it looked abit weird at first, but after you added some of the bits and doodads it really shines

More ork choppers! I like that you orked up the wheels, it helps break up the scale differences to ease the "nob glued to toy" look. One thing I would have done differently though (and it's still possible to change it, if you so desire) is to leave the front suspension functional. That line of rivets down the front forks basically secures the springer to the fork itself which, mechanically speaking (I know, an ork should never worry about such large words) kills your front suspension. Removing that one row of rivets would cure that. If anything, you could still ork it out by adding some zoggin 'uge springs, spikes, or a gnarly front fender similar to the ones on the new bike plastics.

Keep in mind this is purely my two cents worth of opinion. You might like the hard-bolted look, and by all means, roll with it.

I hear and agree with what Teek says in a "corresponds to the real world" perspective, but frankly it just looks cooler with the extra bitz on the front suspension. He is indeed fighting the "ork on found object" problem, and the rivets help with that. These are monsters that put actual blades on their tires, anyways. All real-world practicality is pretty much out the door.

Great work, Krom&krog!

Can you tell us what brand the toy bike was?

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

It's a Jesse James West Coast chopper and thanks. about the rivets on the forks I must have been way into the ork side of the brian becouse suspension functionality never crossed my think tank lol.

At the start of this Blog ( Mods you may move it to the Blog folder that I did not see before I started this thread ) I eluded to just posting a before and after pic and thought that a post to reflect this would be great. the toy used is gold digger from the brand mentioned above. All comments welcome I've tried my damnedest to get away from the "Ork glued to toy look" and any opinion is welcome.

I really like the general idea, but I wished you bashed that chopper kit some. the size of the chopper swallows up the warboss to the point of him looking like a grot. I know orks like to build odd kitz and whatnotz, but if you had cut it down some (bringing the body front to back closer to gether) and chopped some of the rake in the front forks (the rake is the amount of angle in the front forks, in case you weren't sure) and used some orky wheels this would have been over the top.

however, it has inspired me to go out and find some plastic model choppers to modify my warbikes with..
