I've been working on a fully painted and based Eldar army since the beginning of the year. With some help from my friends I just might have it done in time. Two of my friends will using it in the team tourney, I'm going with Necrons. The Flying Hellfish will be bringing three teams this year and I'm really looking forward to seeing some of the folks we know from other tournaments and events!

Is everyone else out there on track with armies and teams and such?

If more of us valued food and cheer and 40K over hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world.

I stopped working on models in December/January and only
now started up again. I won't have an army ready by next
month as the only stuff I really want to work on atm is my
WM stuff.

Too bad though. I guess I burned out in the fall.

I have almost all of my armies done. I am playing the same army for the Gladiator and the Invitational. I am playing a different race for the team tourney. That army is now getting a major repainting.

I've finished off my Goffs for the 40K Team Tourney (Team Kung-Fu Grip), but I still have five Pegasus Knights, three characters, and two trebuchets to finish of for my 3,000 point Bretonnian army for the Warhammer Escalation Tourney. If I can get them done perhaps there'll be time for a Rogue Demon entry or two.

Cheers

I am building Gundam Models and playing World of Warcraft along with Dawn of War Soul Storm (I just bought today). Hey Darrian would you ever do a drinking game mixed in with 40K?

take 1 drink for failed ld tests, take 1 drink for vehicles destroyed, etc?

Last year I was painting in my hotel room the night before and still showed up with half-painted models to the team tournie.

It was an IG army that had 2 Landraiders, 3 Leman Russes, 2 Hellhounds, and 2 Grenadiers with a deepstriking HQ and Hardened vets. It was an idea that once was bounced around and I have to also credit Stelek for the base of the army though I did some changes all around.

Its a damn powerful army but Blackmoor was able to capitalize on my inexperience with the army and beat me with superior mobility and solid tactics including a good screen with the Avatar.

This army will probably never see the light of day and after a battle with Brian Poole who wiped my army to the last tread, he helped expose some major weaknesses of the list.

Well, you lost to the 2 Eldar armies there, but you were one of the only armies who could beat the Orks that could not get through your 14 front AV.

As far as Adepticon goes, I am working on the other half of Yakface's army, and I have about 2 weeks to finish about 20 models.

I'm painting daemons, now that my part of the team tourney exercise is concluded. Many, many daemons.

I'll take a one-day break in the near future, to assemble a mighty battlefleet. I love how fast BFG paints, while still maintaining a lovely appearance.

Hear, hear! I too am planning a wedding but have already told my future bride that in 2009 I am attending Adepticon. I better start painting now if I want to be ready in time...

I have a feeling that we will see a lot of Orks at Adepticon.
