Well, after watching everyone else here make a Warhound, I thought I'd give it a go. (I really wanted a 9th titan) I wanted to make this as cheaply as possible. It is made from old pens, cash register rolls, a "For Sale" sign, and some plasticard. So far I have spent around $11 on it. All it really needs now it feet, detail work, and paint.

Its a bit "flat" for lack of a better word at the moment. Hopefully you can flesh/bulk it out with your detail work. Its nice dont get me wrong and the best part is its built and looks like what it is supposed to be so keep going for sure. Keep us updated on how your going with it.

I like it. Looks really mechwarriorish though.

Specifically, the Clan's 30 ton Adder omnimech.

It really needs little details to make the sense of scale pop... that and some imperial/chaos detailing and gothicification to tie it into the 40K universe.

Great Model, more power to the little man who scratch builds his own titans rather than pay $ or £ for resin stuff from Farce world!

We should start have a SCRATCH A TITAN WEEK!!! every one has to build a titan no mater how basic! lol

My Reaver is starting to look more like it should be!

keep up the good work.............

I'm currenlty coming up with ideas for the detailing. I will be puting a large Imperial eagal on the cowling over the head, and possibly some "winged sword" bits from the Dark Angels sprue on the shoulders. I'm going to wait to do any detailing with the legs until the feet are done. I don't want any surprises popping up.

I basically tried to make this look like a cross between the old armorcast warhound and the Forgeworld Lucius pattern one. Basically, I liked the domed carapace of the armorcast one, but hated the cartoonish face. I did however prefer the angular armor of the foregworld model.

Great start! The torso armor is indeed nicely in-between the sloped and the slab-like armor patterns. You made a good blend there.

As for detailing, you might start by adding more depth with thin card applied as armor plates. And tons of rivets, of course.

You mentioned that you would be detailing the legs a bit more after the feet are done. Will that include adding some more bulk to the legs? They do look a bit thin in profile. Some big greave-style armor would fix that nicely.

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

Well, I got around to making the feet. I based the feet one a pheasant's feet, so that is why the middle toe is larger. I have also done almost all the detail work, but the camera didn't seem to pick much of it up. Hopefully it will look better after I prime it.

Looks brilliant, the only thing would be to make the legs a little less flat. Torso, weapons, head and feet look great, the legs let it down slightly.

Hats off to your scratch built warhound. Will look fantastic when its finished with all the trimmings.

May have to give this a go, always fancied fielding a warhound.
