I've seen the rule book and it is very nice, has anybody managed to play it yet?

Live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart. Trouble no one about his religion. Respect others in their views and demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life. Beautify all things in your life. Seek to make your life long and of service to your people. When your time comes to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song, and die like a hero going home.

High Seas uses the Lord of the Rings combat system with the Mordheim campaign system - both solid rule sets to base a game on. In the one game of High Seas, shooting played a larger roll than I expected. Normally in LotR - shooting is not very effective. The difference is that nobody is wearing armor in High Seas- boosting the effectiveness of fire arms.

Is this a new game?

If you're asking for copyright busting downloads of an old set of rules, please don't as it is against site policy.

if the game is available legally as a PDF, either for sale or as a Living Rulebook document it's a different matter.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.
