Hi all,

I've built scale models (I think you call them "historicals" here, although I'm not sure how historical a 350Z is...) for years, but I'm relatively new to this miniatures jazz. Nevertheless, I thought I'd start posting my work in the hopes of getting some constructive criticisms from the incredible painters here on Dakka. As a note, I use all Reaper Master Series paints... except for the gloss black on the bases - it's Tamiya.

Here we have the Khador Battlegroup box from Warmachine. I plan on Dakka Blogging my efforts to get this beginning up to 500 points, assuming my FLGS can get the kits to me in a timely fashion. The basing isn't finished yet on any of these figs because, again, I'm waiting for the shop to get in some basing snow. Anyway, without further ado...

Destroyer - I was going for a Soviet winter camouflage look for the warjacks. I think his "pants" turned out well, but I wasn't as happy with how the big flat expanse of his shoulders look:

Juggernaut - I modified the camo look away from my Soviet source material here. I'm happier with this look, but it's still not great. The photos bring out some crummy paint coverage I hadn't noticed:

Sorscha - I'm quite chuffed at how this one turned out. She was my first attempt at "proper" highlighting/blending, using thin coats to build layers and so forth. This is probably the best-looking paint job I've managed to date, which means I'm headed in the right direction:

And finally, a family photo:

Once again, feel free to criticize away. I'm still trying to figure out what works and what doesn't.

PS. Cheers to the Dakka photodump!

Edit: success!
