Looking forward to the sets getting into the store : ) jolly good show.

Hmmm... is anything going on with Curious Constructs, Gravis? It's been a while since the last posts about those artillerymen arms were made.

Also, are you planning to release non-artillery arms with and without rifles, as we discussed around 8 months ago, or have they been shelved for now?

I know he's been hard at work getting the KS artillery & crew out to backers (about 30% done now, and waiting on more resin arriving)

I am totally in KS mode still at the moment, delays have hit much harder then I'd ever have feared. So there is'nt realy a great deal more happening for Curious Constructs at the moment.

I have previewed on our Facebook page a few things which other hobbiests have been working on for me though, but none of them will be so much as being sent to the casters until all my backers have had their packages dispatched - and once thats happend the first thing will be to get the Artillery and everything else onto the store.

Just a quick question: would Curious Constructs' torsos be compatible with truescale 28mm heads like the ones made by Perry or Wargames Factory?

Lord Castellan, not really no, the torso's are 28mm heroic, aka 30mm, so like with GW's torso's, or other similar makes like Victoria Miniatures, true scale heads would stand out as being a little small. Could you do it yes, but I'd not recommend it.

Jehan-reznor, a walker is something I have thought about actually, buts its not on the cards for now, following the KS release which should finally hit the store this month now I've switched to Zinge Industries doing the final batch of casting, I've got a back log of releases already built up.

For myself expect small arms, a Life Guard kit (which should fulfil the Shocktrooper roll!), a new Line Infantry kit as being on the top of the list, with revised Cavalry and an Ogre kit behind. Most of the work is already done on these items.

But as I've mentioned there are other things as well which I've had others working on, amongst them a bunker by Rictus and something I'm quite excited about, some Renegade components, a set of 5 28mm heads and torso's, preview!

Oh and just to top it off, a couple of releases from Lucky Punk Miniatures are in the store now as well, the Circular Sandbag Barricade Set and Redoubt Set! These can be found in the store, HERE

Orinoco, the Redoubt is made up of four parts, two U-Shaped crate sections for the firing step, and two U-Shaped Barricade sections.

Lockark, then hopefully you'll like the torso I've just previewed on the Facebook page as well, I'll repost it here tomorrow.

As it happens a couple of the torso's do feature severed limbs, I'll be aiming to preview the remaining torso's and the other heads tomorrow, once I've got some decent light!

In the meantime, a word in your ear from Joseph!

In fact to make this a little little bit interesting! First person to guess what or whom this little chap is having a word with will get one copy of this figure on its release, completely free of charge, answers to be posted on our Facebook page, HERE.

VikingChild, they're corrupting are'nt they!

Brian, I must admit the first thing I thought when I saw the head on the inner right was 'Goblin!', might be food for thought for a future project for Joseph!

Now, talking of corrupt, here is the other part of the first set of Renegades, the Corrupted Pysker again by Joseph Selman! Personally I love the little daemon whispering in his ear, its a fantastic detail in my mind and what really sets the model off.

The fruits of the Kickstarter campaign are now live, and I've finally managed to assembled most of the models!

The sets available include the Colonial Empire Field Artillery Kit, which includes a Carriage, and four alternative weapons.

The Multiple Rocket Launcher Kit

and the seperate Gun Carriage.

There is also the Rocket Launcher, an add on sprue to go with the Field Artillery Kit or Gun Carriages, the Artillery Crews, including the Bombardier and a very limited number of Mules.

You can find them all in the store at the below address, may of the kits are available, or in discounted Battery deals.

Just a quick update, following on from a customers suggestion I'll be making single weapons from the Field Artilery kit with a Carriage, this will be in addition to the weapons being available separately at a later date.

So, new items on the store, the Lasercannon Kit, and the Tesla Cannon Kit, these will both normally priced at £10.00 each, but are currently £9.00 each instead.

Here's a thought for you - what about designing the gun to have a pistol grip, but no stock at all? Especially since the most common arms to use them with have the stock integrated with the arm.

I'm wondering about a design where you don't have a full pistol grip, but instead have a semi-pistol grip such as used with the later M1 Garands and M14s.

In what I'm thinking, you would essentially be making from the pistol-grip forward of the rifle and it would be attached to the model's hand at more of an upward angle rather than being roughly perpendicular to the fist.

I think it's also be useful to think about what era of rifle you're wanting the laser lock to be similar to - do you want it to look more like a musket? I think this is a rather nice design and could potential lend itself to having a pistol grip (like a mare's leg):

More like the Martini-Henry repeater used during the Zulu Wars?

Or more like a WWI or WWII rifle like a the Lee-Enfield or M1?

Then there's this interesting fellow, which I think is a Middle Eastern creation (and is amusingly referred to as a Jezail):

I think it's all about figuring out what aesthetic you're wanting to convey the design and then figuring out how to make it work with the most common arm systems.

What about Lasgun that looks alike 1890s era Mauser rifles?

with protrounding mags and one-piece wooden reciever, and upper wooden rails
