Ever since we did the female guard I've had people asking me if we could also do some female jungle fighters, and it is something I'd really like to see happen.

Individually as hobbiests we do not have the resources to hire a professional-level sculptor, but if a group of us pool our resources together we could easily make it happen and make some for ourselves.

So, I'm asking to see if there is anyone out there who is as interested as me in making this happen. Our inspiration for this is going to be Vasquez from the Aliens movie. Tough as nails, but still shapely, definitely NOT a steroid pill-popping body-builder, wearing a tank-top/sports bra and heavy military pants and boots like her male counterparts.

The best part is, the more people we have, the more we can do. If enough people join in, we can do several different poses of legs and arms and alternate heads, maybe even a neat jungle accessory sprue or something like that.

Anyway, if you are interested in this by-hobbiests-for-hobbiests idea send me a PM and I'll give you the details.

Man, that's the joy of Anime! To revel in the complete and utter wastefullness of making an unstoppable nuclear-powered combat andriod in the shape of a cute little girl, who has the ability to fall in love and wears an enormous bow in her hair.

Y'mean like this one (except more flexible)? An oldie, but a goodie - of course, no longer available.

Yeah, something like that, but multi-part.

Hey, what happened to the other project, the website, and how do we get in on this one?

Good to see you back, but I am having trouble getting onto the phenox site.

I'd like to see if you have any of that gear left.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

Hudson: Hey Vasquez, have you ever been mistaken for a man?
Vasquez: No. Have you?

Shadowforge and Copplestone (Future Wars line) both have a few female troopers in jungle gear. You'd have to swap weapons and add a skull or two though. I think Metropolis/Urban War may have a couple too.

5 points to Malfred for the apt Aliens reference. Ahh, Bill Paxton...

True, but since this will be a by-hobbiest-for-hobbiest project ours will have a few distinct advantages:

1) Ours will have the correct uniforms.
2) Ours will have the proper weapons.
3) Ours will be the proper scale.
4) Ours will be about 1/3rd the cost.
5) Ours, being conversions, will be tournament legal in most tournaments.

Off hand I would say there's not much interest in this. As noted GW already made one, other companies make some acceptable substitutes and the Catachans were never that popular to begin wtih.

That being said I have an idea for another conversion bit project.

A lot of players have been doing trenchcoat/long coat guard with gas masks several different ways. Ala this guy

It seems to me that you could sculpt a set of greatcoat legs, a gasmask head and backpack as a cadian conversion pack.

That would sell very well IMHO.

Are you kidding? We've already had enough people join up to pay the sculptor and he has already begun sculpting.

I think that is an excellent idea for a future project. I'll keep that in mind.

Congrats! It's always nice to be proven wrong about something like this.

It's great to see fans stepping in where GW falters.

Hope to see the greatcoat conversion someday.
