So I still need advice/tips/tutorials on how to model a hood.
And another question would be should I add eyes to the cult symbol. It really looks very like a Tyranid head but I am not sure if eyes would improve it, so if eyes which colour?

After making this first cultist I am not so sure if I want to do 19 more so I will take it slow and make 1 or 2 every weekend.

Gotta say those daemonette heads really do look good for cultists.

I personally wouldn't bother with hoods, they look creepy enough as is. A hood would distract from that.

If you really want some hooded cultists maybe get a bunch of wood elf hood heads for a squad?

What rules will you use?

I think they will end up with gaunt rules or maybe IG conscripts.

I admit I was a little skeptical of the GS robes, but the paint has really pulled it together. The head really does work well, and I like the red eye-stripe, nice tough. Possibly only the unmolested winged skull on the gun bugs me, but it's not an imperial eagle and perhaps these cultists don't feel the need to deface things like my chaos cultists ...
