Vindicator + Trukk = something orky
This is going to be a battlewagon for my tankbustas- not the most practical unit to play with, but fun none the less.

I started with a quick sketch, a trukk box, a new vindicator, and an extra zzap gun.

I skipped the steps involving the vindicator construction itself, and started layering on the plastic sheet. First thing I did was cut a floor plan the width of a landraider, then glued on little feet to make it level. I cut a hole in the middle for the engine and a little ladder, added the trukk driver to the front (to be removed for seperate painting later, and constructed some overhangs. The rolla is just the trukk tires glued together.

Primary material used: half a 67cent "beware of dog" sign, purchased at the local grocery store.

The flash on these early pictures isn't really washing much out... it's just flat plastic for now.

On with the show! The boyz needz a way to get on their wagon, so- handy entrance points!

I'm was pretty much making this up as I went, so started constructing walls around the back. I added hinged boarding ladders from the trukk for additional entry points. For rivets, I picked up a 1/16" hole puncher from a craft store and went to town on the sign.

Here's a completed forward structure with a little glyph for the squad and another hinged ladder

Lastly I built a little platform for the zzap guy using the trukk bed.

And here's a lower angle picture of the forward structure.

Here's my marine army: All the non-trukk vehicles in my ork army are going to be looted from this color scheme

And here's the battlewagon, primed with a painted vindicator!

And the Ork scrap thrown on top given its first few coats of silver.

The marine colors are Regal blue>Enchanted blue>Enchanted+Ice>Ice blue. The white is just Codex>Fortress>Skullwhite.
The silver was just done with a layer of boltgun and a layer of mithril streaked on with a large brush

And because the red wunz go fasta, a few layers of red paint.

Using 1:1 paint:water for each color-
2 coats of scab red, 2 blood read, then a top highlight of blazing orance, streaked on with an old 1/2" brush

And what ork doesn't like graphics? Added some flames to the side vindicator and a ork face painted in red

That's some good work there, it really capture's the feel of a looted and slpped together wagon. The only part that I don't really feel works is the deffrolla made of tires, it just doesn't look very scary or heavy enough to crush marines. Perhaps try wrapping it in plasticard and adding spikes. Good work thogh.

Opinions are like arseholes. Everyone's got one and they all stink.

Nice, I like it. I noticed that you are going for a look like the orks haven't finished painting everything red. Are you going to model a couple of gobbos with paint buckets to look like they are still working on the paint job? What could be more orky than to have a half finished vehicle rush off to battle with runts still working on it?

I like the fact that it's "looted" from your space marine army. Cool!

Sweet Wagon. Just so Orky. All the rivets and bolts!

And I love the turret on top. It looks it shouldn't work at all but you know it would drive faster than any Imperial vehicle half its size!

Go squish some 'ummies!

So I assume you're going to loot that Warhound next right?

"If a man dedicates his life to good deeds and the welfare of others, he will die unthanked and unremembered. If he exercises his genius bringing misery and death to billions, his name will echo through the millenia for a hundered lifetimes. Infamy is always more preferable to ignominy."

Probably won't make a scraped-up warhound for my ork army's titan, but possible make something similar. May be the meks thought it would be a great idea to attempt to copy the warhound design for their gargant? The titan will be one of the last things I make for the army, but I 'll try to remember that as an idea!
