Here's my warboss! Like the other projects, it starts with a quick sketch.

I wanted to incorporate the banna' wava I had sitting around as well as an attack squig enjoying the ride.

Starting at the end of the project, here's my step-by-step attack squig! This was my second scuplt, and hadn't quite gotten the picture taking down. Please forgive the blurry pics.

Started with a little wire skeleton and put a clump of apoxie sculpt on it

Added legs and skinned it with greenstuff.

Then sculpted up a collar

The head was done in 3 steps

I built it up over a layer of plastic wrap so they could be painted separately

Then added bottom teeth and eyes

Then the top teeth

Then the toes were added using the final angles set by the boss and his dakkagun

And the squig sits on the bike like so:

And now for a picture spam!

Replaced the AK with a bolter and the skull with the warboss glyphs

Used the banner and bull skull from a fantasy kit, added nob and human skulls to the wrecking ball chain from the trukk kit

Cut the warboss in half and attached to rider legs. Gave him a propper iron gob

Of course gave the bike a little fork extension, and added some engine bits

And a fender is OK if it's constructed with spikes and chainsaws

I bow to your mastery of green stuff sculpting. That model is going to be the definition of boss if you paint as well as you model.

After a little paint experimentation, I decided on a standard ork foodchain-color-hierarchy. The larger the ork, the darker its skin. The boss starts with a dark angel green wash over a black basecoat, while the squigs will be closer to yellow in color. The Boss's attack squig has a particularly respectable place so it is just a bit lighter than his personal gretchen assistant.
