I'm not sure that a badab black wash would really add that much. All that I could see it doing would be to darken all of the colors that are nice and vibrant right now.

I would suggest going back with the blue base color and cleaning up the highlights some to make them a bit crisper. Thick and uneven highlights are easy enough to fix and it doesn't take long at all, but really brings the level of the miniature up a serious notch.

I do however think your bases could go for some washing. Unpainted ballast really suffers from looking like aquarium rocks when unpainted. Simple quick washes could help add the variation, contrast and depth that is missing from the basing right now.

All in all though, a solid tabletop job. Good work!

Loving the double height base for the sergeant, and am wholly impressed with your basing!! Although, now grey death has mentioned it, a bit of paint on your gravel would work wonders and add a lot of depth.
