Here are some of the Ultramarines I have been painting while I have been living and working in China. I just finished the devastator Squad, which I am pretty happy about. I know some of these pics have been posted in in another topic, but I thought I would just put them all in one place

If you have questions on how I paint the guys or model them, feel free to PM me.

Looks like a solid paint job all around, The pics could be a biy better( Im working on that myself) I would start doing more blending and less highlighting, plus washes to bring everything together and give depth to the models. But great lookin figs,

i see some blending coming into play on the smaller stuff but it still seems like basic highlighting which works well. If you need any tips pm me.

I normally dont like that style of blending on space marines, but for some reason yours look like classic miniatures from the early 2nd edition era golden demon competitions and they get some good nostalgia going in my mind. Good job!

Any chance for a close up and "how to" for the marine in the winged helmet?

Very nice looking stuff!

Alpharius,

I can't get you a close up of the model at this time (I took it back with me on my last trip back to the states), but I can tell you how I did the helmet.

The helmet is the Chaos Champion Head from the Chaos Space Marine box command sprue. I cut off the large horns and shaved the sides down smooth. The wings are from Eldar Swooping Hawks and I used green stuff where the wings and the helmet join to make it look more "natural"

I actually really like how it turned out, even though it seems a bit much for a mere Space Marine Sgt.

The banner is the old banner (before they had the cloth built on) and I used two of the new scroll pieces from the current sets.

The sword is from the Emperors champion model; Chapter champion Torso, Power fist, and Terminator Shield.

Anyway, I hope this helps. Thanks Again !

The sgt helmet is brilliant.

Really like how the scheme has worked out on the troops, looks a bit extreme on the rhino but personal taste on my part.
