Here are some pics of the new space marine army scheme Im working on. This is only the test model, the banner could use a little more detail, and the cloak could be a little neater as well but I think over all the model looks pretty good, let me know what you think and any suggestions.

Pictures a bit fuzzy but I like your colors. Nice highlights on the cloth and neat blue trim. Are the shoulder pads going to be black with gold trim? that looks great against the purple.

Also, the sword and wings upon your banner remind me distinctly of the Dark Angels, FYI.

Me likey! Very good paintjob. You got a chapter name yet? Purple Doom or somesuch? You get an army to that standard and it will look grrrrrreat.

I do think the white helmet is cool, is this gonna be the case for all marines or just elite characters?

No chapter name yet, I think the white helmets are just going to be for characters and vets and stuff, we'll see.

I do need to get a lightbox as well, I might post some more pics later, but I need to get some new batteries for my camera first so maybe tommorrow. I think it looks better in person lol.

That banner thing might be from the DA I kind of stole of off of the transfer sheet, Ill probably end up changing it a bit for the final army.

This is very close to the color scheme I was doing with for my Chaos Marines, so I'm partial to it!

I think it would be really cool as a chaos list, if you did runes in the armor kind of like the khorne army in the rulebook.

As a thought, do you notice how much better the green on the wreath around his helmet looks next to the purple, than say the blue trim?

Having just done an army of green/purple/bone/gold - I can say the colours compliment each other _VERY_ well, worth considering IMO!

I did think about that prox and probably will go more that way with the rest of the army.

Yeah I dig purple. My undead is purple and white quartered like empire Bogenhafen and my Nids are Leviathan colors, though using Hormagaunt purple highlighted up with Astronimicon grey looks way better than Liche.

Looks great, can't wait to see a dread or some rhinos done up in those colors.

Looks good so far. Are you leaning towards loyalist or Chaos with the marines?
I do agree with the others that the purple scheme looks good. I'm at that impass right now...trying to figure out a color scheme for my guys. This helps me out.

Going for loyalist with these guys, Might do a dread or 2, maybe a few pods too, but Im trying to stray away from mounted lists, I already have my mech sisters so.. probably no rhinos, If i dont pick up any HE this weekend Im planning on picking up some SM so I should have some more to post in a week or so maybe, kinds depends, he took about 15-20 hrs, but I think I can streamline it plus I wont have to do so much BB and no banners(well maybe 1 on the sarge) so I think I can get it done in a week if i work on it all Sun Ill post it when its done.
