Hi well as i love the rules for this guy he just has to head my salamander army.

I can't wait for GW to maybe do a mini for him so i converted one from a grey knight and dark elf cloaks.

Excellent! Green looks good, cloak fits perfectly...very well done. If I were forced to nit-pick anything on the mini, I might wash/shade the gold a bit more....but only if I was forced to

i love how the cape blends in with the whole fluff of the salamanders, love the arm mounted melta. good job.

Ok, no Thunderhammer as in the rules he has a relic blade and the pic of him shows it as a halberd.

The cloak represents the cloak in his rules that gives him a 3+ inv save.

Its a flamer on his gauntlets again this is wysiwyg as the rules state he has one!

Pretty solid and straightforward conversion and paintjob.

The only thing I would think to do more work on would be the gauntlet mounted flamer. Some more bits and modeling to make it more 'flamer' like instead of having a stormbolter body with a flamer bit at the end.

Overall though, great work. Those cloaks need to find their way onto a salamanders upgrade sprue...

I must say now that I see it again it is growing on me... Still more as a veteranchamp from the commandsquad, but still...

word from phil kelly at games day l.a. was that all the characters in the new codex would have models...no timeframe was given though...

as to this guy, not bad for a quick conversion...the book on the shoulder is killin' it for me though...the corsair cloak works well...

Personally, I really dislike the back of the hand mounted weapons like that. It is a nice paint job though.

No its from the Dark Elf Corsares (sp) box!

They take a bit of trimming but they fit ok
