Definitely the helmet with the mirror faceplate.

Man, that's the joy of Anime! To revel in the complete and utter wastefullness of making an unstoppable nuclear-powered combat andriod in the shape of a cute little girl, who has the ability to fall in love and wears an enormous bow in her hair.

Helmet with face plate would be easiest, but the mask-bag would be coolest if you could pull it off.

Cobra Commander should be an inquisitor with acolytes to take the wounds for him, so he can always escape.

Blue helmet mirror face was the original but I reckon the hood looks cool. God knows how you'd do it though.
Maybe some of the Renegade IG masks from FW or PI's Koloni rebels?

I like the classic blue/mirror version, the new version in Sigma 6 was also quite nice, but I can't find a picture.

Sounds pretty cool man.

I remember how excited I was to get my 1st Cobar Cdr. My mailman was almost as happy to deliver him so I'd stop bothering him.

How about these ideas?
CHQ with Cobra Cdr in hood.
PHQ with Cobra Cdr in helmet/mirror face
IG in Command Squads- Red like the Crimson Guard
Other Troopers in blue with red accents
SGTs blue with silver accents
Vets= Drednocks?

That's how I remember the "classic" Cobra atleast.
Cool ideas though. Good luck making this a reality.

Direct transfer of genres never works for me - I'm a HUUUGE G.I.JOE fan, but the world is miles apart from 40k.

There's TONS of nice inspiration you can draw from Cobra, to do a 40k Terrorist organisation with huge private armies... with similar stereotypes. That can be something quite nice! A direct transfer not so.

No way. Do the direct transfer, it's about a thousand times cooler.

I like the Chrome Facemask, but unlike others, I am partial to the 'new' black clothes. Never seen that particular outfit before...... it's pretty awesome.

I just looked up Cobra on wiki, and now I have one thing to say: Make Serpentor!
Apart from that, the face bag things would look awesome if you can do them well. The helmets also look cool.

Good find with the PI, nevefr thought of them actually.

By the way the red bits on your Lemans in the other thread- look naff, but if you put 'flames' on those bits you might get away with it. If you repaint the vehicels in a basic black or red you might get some better results. MOst of the Cobra vehicles were black and red i think, at least the early stuff (showing my age)
