Yeah, so I collected this army, of dark angels. Funny I know. But I never really get to use/ show off my FULL army so here it is. I dont even want to try and tally the points cost but lets see what we have here.
3 capins, 2 librarians, 2 command squads, sammel, Biel, 4 speeders, 12 bikes, 2 attack, chaplin on a bike,11 termies, 9 tac squads, 2 dev, 25 assault marines, chaplin with jump pack, 6 vets, thunderfire cannon (scratch built and put on dakka) 17 scouts,3 whirlwinds (all different models) a vindicator, a preditor and a paper warhound.
I think thats all. SO what do I need? Rhinos? Drop pods? definitly a land raider. Also, I have been recently runing a death raven list at 2000 recently with sammel, biel, 2 dreads, 10 termies, 2 ravenwing attack squads amd 2 speeders. I think I would greatly benifit from a land raider. What do you think this needs? Im trying to slow down on the buying and I think a land raider will be a welcome addition.

Reminds me of my own collection of the Green Marines. Kudos on having more painted DW and RW than me, BTB. Grats on having that much painted, period, I know it can get seriously tedious.

It's great to see such a big force of space marines that's painted. And yes, you need at least two land raiders. My usual opponent has been collecting space marines since '94 and has only one squad painted.

Well, my theory of war was to stray away from expensive heavy items, being the reason I have 5 lascannons in total there and no land raider. I barely even have plasma pistols! I really like the idea of getting most my kills from a foot in front of me. Hence the plentiful melta wepons (15?) . But I think a crusader/redeemer would be good for my termies and up front style of play. I think if Im going to use death/raven, I will use the DA codex, but if im using a more static force, the new 'dex will be cheaper and better.
