I think if most project creators on Kickstarter followed Mister Justin's example, most of the comment sections would be quite similar. His communication has been honest and regular right from the start, and best of all no mention of pumped or mouth watering or any of that bs.

Lo folks sorry if it's bad form to bump and old thread but my tiles has arrived and I've reviewed them and thought I'd share.

As for storing them, they come in plastic bags that would be perfect to store them in. You just have to suppress the impulse to throw those away after you unpack them.

Nice review. Shame about the bent tiles. I haven't opened any of mine yet to examine them, but will be doing so in early January. Hopefully Justin is able to sort it all out.

Well there are is the ruined temple ones, but only if you're looking for beveled bases, some of the nicest kinds for some reason does not come in the roundlipped version.

Got my Tablescapes tiles last night!

No pics because I got too excited, and also have no internet at home at the moment. But I've laid out the Rolling Fields on the living room floor, and I plan to start painting them this weekend assuming the weather is ok. Love them! Can't wait to get started!

The style of temple is pretty different but that looks like it's the closest match.

I just got a shipping notice for my 'sale' add on tiles (clean urban) and terrain, but not my actual pledge (ruined urban).
So I guess my pledge is delayed by the error related shortages?

New update. The production run on the shortage is completed, shipping is to be confirmed, but lack of funds to ship is still an issue. Ah well.

About the sale: why did we have to wait for a coupon until after the 20% off period to get a coupon that amounts to 20% off???!

Think of it as an extended 20% period for backers, since it would obviously have been problematic for Justin to do 36-40% off.

Stock Shortage - PRODUCTION FINISHED!

I got a note from Wargames Factory this week letting me know that all production is finished for the items we shorted. I have asked for clarification on the freight quote, but everything should be on boats shortly.

USA / Canada / Other International
We're still shipping orders out of SWM HQ. We've had to slow down due to the cash crunch, but orders are still leaving every week. The only theme we are NOT shipping is the Mixed Urban set, which was effected by the shortage.

AUS / NZ
Australia is still holding for the restock, and will likely be the first to receive product again. They will resume again as soon as the restock arrives.

UK / EU
Mantic hit the shortage wall this week, and shipping has stopped. They will resume again as soon as the restock arrives.

Next Steps
I will post another update as soon as we have the freight information so that we can all follow the ships again.

Thankfully I got mine, 8x4 of clean and a damaged displayboard. I also got a 4x4 Deadzone board in the Mantic kickstarter. Really good stuff. So far I have painted 2x2 of deadzone.

Apparently, from the comments section, they are shipping about 10 (I think I read 11) orders a day, so they are grinding through the backlog.

Since winter promises to be cold enough to split stones, I think I might prime them using the airbrush instead of the can.

I finally managed to get the Rolling Fields tutorial edited and posted. Mathieu did a great job, and provided a lot of incredible reference material as well:

No updates otherwise, but I'll get something posted as soon as I have news.

The rolling fields look grouse when painted up and heavily grassed.

Urban Streets -- PAINTED!

This morning I woke up to find a link to this beautiful set of the Urban Streets tiles waiting for me, and it's too good not to share!

John used an airbrush, of course, but he walks you through each step, and every color, in the blog post. Really beautiful work, and I hope that I get a chance to play on this table at NOVA Open in 2015!

In unrelated news, I'm still waiting on the ship information -- but the short product run has been picked up by the freight company. Stay tuned....

Damn those tiles look nice painted up. Now if only I could get around to painting mine.

I have an odd question - I was thinking of trying to get my hands on two urban tiles for a small display board for an Infinity army. Is there some other product that would make as much or more sense for that? I don't think it's going to be possible for me to find just two tiles, and I'd like a little more elevation on parts of the display. (That said if someone Is selling an urban display, let me know

although I don't think these are going to be sold after the Kickstarter unfortunately)

Looks fantastic! Well done! How did you manage to differ the shading on the individual concrete slabs? Masking and airbrushing?

No airbrush was used

All done with spray cans and wash. Made a one square template mask and used different spray colour over base.

Took two hours to do all the board.

All up I'd say the full board took around 10 hours

I'm guessing you mixed your own wash also? What worked best for you in that regard?

I've never really liked all the squares you'll eventually find on a 6x4 board using 12" squares.. but man this city fight table is marvelous...
