Ok,depending on your clan choice (or lack of) will determine the paints your going to need.
For example, My army is a Goff army, very simple, straight foward paint scheme-Black uniforms with white and black checks and dags along with some red( on the straps& such) plus worn metals for some of the armour.
This is a list of the paints I used
Knarloc green
Orkhide shade ( for skin base)
Thrakka green (wash)
Goblin Green (highlighting)
Chaos black
Merhrite red
red gore
Chainmail
Boltgun Metal
Tin bitz
Bleached bone
Skull white
Scorched Brown
Charadon Granite
also used small drybrush, standard brush, detail and fine detail brushes.

I Like the look of your board, but its dificult to tell if its painted due to the pic size.

The Thrakka green is the only wash I used, I used Ork hide as my foundation for the Boyz skin , then a dry brush of Knarloc Green followed by a Thrakka green wash, then gradule highlights with Goblin green adding small amounts of skull white for each highlight, I did very limited highlighting becuse I like my orkz to be a bit dark. the uniforms I did chaos black with a bit of Chardon granite for highlighting the high points, all straps belts etc were done with Merchrite red with a red gore highlight , armour was a scorched brown base with blends of tin bitz, boltgun and chainmail followed by a waterd down wash with chestnut ink ( I did this on the wepons as well) and the shoulder pads(?)Armour I painted bleached bone then skull white adding checks and/or dag patterns along with some boltgun metal for battle damage.
So far my orkz consist of only "Boyz" (Boss,Nobz, lootaz, burnaz, boyz, tankbuztaz) so I've yet to paint any walkers/trukks/etc...I'll do all that after january.
Anyway hope some of this helps.

I do the same as Fitzz with my Slugga Boyz. I break this up and paint my Shootas as Bad Moons(Yellow w/black flames) and Blood Axes(Codex Grey w/red piping). I do this so I can tell who's who on a board cluttered with so many orks.

I prefer my orks with a more zingy green so I add yellow to the green when highlightning instead of white.
