Hello there I also took part in this =][= munda game (when the pics are working I was the one with the Mercenaries gang) it was a lot of fun not least because we are a bit hazy on the official rules (our school computers wont let us access the PDF Necromunda rulebook ) so it was almost entirely house rules!

Here are piccies of my gang their working title is the chicken warriors of doom (for no apparent reason as they have nothing to do with poultry) Bear in mind these were taken with a webcam we have our games on monday (Cleverly renamed by me as Necromonday ) so we may have a bat rep with pics fingers crossed fairly soon!

I know I'm probably preaching a bit late, but not a bad job on the miniatures. The thing that gets to me is that abomination of green flock on your table, and the unpainted buildings. Just spray them and drybrush them - 10 minute job, weather permitting.

the "abomination of green flock" is actually one of the new Warhammer Battle Mats, i know it doesnt fit in with the theme of the game but its better than bare tables.

the unpainted buildings are my own fault tho, hopefully should be rectified soon.

Yes, we have to use battlemats as our games are played in a classroom so the tables have to be used for writing and stuff too!

If anyone is interested there is also a fiction story explaining this campaign in the fiction section.

I used to settle for some brown wrapping paper, textured in places, sprayed black + grey drybrush. If you use the correct amount of WaterVA, then the sand/whatever sticks nicely.

that sounds like a good idea, also it has been decided that on Necromonday 8th December, MC's =][= Gang, A SM Scout recon team, and the PDF and Eldar pictured earlier will play each other, My renegade PDF/Mercs will not be taking part as I will be busy taking notes and photoes for the Battle report

Any more comments. Its seems odd after the general buzz about =][=munda that we havent got anymore suggestions or criticsisms. Shuold we be in Painting and modeling blogs.

You got some better pictures of your stuff? Not only the angles and stuff but also the quality of the pictures. It's kind of hard to make out the details and such.

What about those Eldar? Got close ups?

Hopefully we will have more pics of the gangs on monday, but since my parents have just bought a digital camera I might be able to put up more pics of my inquisitor ang gang.

im having fun with this campagin so far. (yes im involved) but i feel sorry for model collector over half of his Gang was wiped out
My PDF went into battle with no ammo ( Failed 5 ammo checks (even a pistol one!))
Model C's leader was the punch bag and he ended up being worse than a Juve!
Im going to try and get some pics up soon.

Ok The Battle report pics failed, nothing to do with dakka though, so here is a picless report, save my crap-tastic map, hopefully we can get the pics up at a later date fingers Xsed so remember this game is quite substantially house rules

The battle was an objective-based one between =][= (Model Collector), PDF (Space Duck) and Eldar (Daniel who will soon be posting on this forum as 'Baby Butler'?)

Deployment looks like this



This is a reference so you are aware what units are and what the terrain is like, BTW a red dot is an objective and the rings are a hill. An unfortunate IG was left out of the weak replacement pic by accident, he is a normal IG w/lasgun near the NW objective

So LOTR style we rolled for priority (HR) and Eldar go first, the =][= followed by PDF
Turn 1 Eldar guardians move forward , the dire avenger on the first floor of the L shape building climbs to the top. =][= and his immediate retinue advance towards the NW objective, the other group close in on the L building. The Kasrkin and junior officer retreat from the advancing =][= the unlucky not-in-photo guard (aka pvt feather) wets himself over the advancing =][= but nontheless moves towards the L building.

Shooting
the DA on the L building fires a laspistol at Pvt Feather but fails to wound, the Eldar on the far Eastern objective shoots a needle rifle at Inquisitor Valentine and sedates him, The guardians target the =][= near the Building but fall short. The inquisitorial assassin targets the guardian with his rifle but is forced to make an ammo roll and fails. The Crusader fires at Feather and knocks the poor guy out. The acolyte fires his meltagun at the PDF but misses. The penitent fires at the PDF and also misses. The PDF trooper with a plasmagun on the small building shoots the Penitent and causes a flesh wound. The left Kasrkin shoots the Crusader but fails an ammo check, the sniper shoots the penitent and also fails an ammo check! The leader fires his plasma pistol at Valentine and causes another Flesh Wound, making him effectively a Juve!

No CC so straight to turn 2!
Priority: =][=, PDF, Eldar
Move
The group of henchmen near the L building advance, with the LExmechanic and the Warrior Priest climbing onto the first floor, the =][= assault feather and because he is knocked down, he is kicked in the head and killed Valentine overcomes his sedation but with a fresh Flesh Wound, he now has WS and BS 1! All the PDF save the plasma gunner advance toward the =][=
The DA moves right on top of the rooftop objective, the guardians advance toward the =][=.
Shoot
The Acolyte fires his flamer at the PDF but it explodes and knocks him over, the Crusader shoots a Kasrkin but fails to wound, The penitent shoots the Kasrkin and also no wound. In the South the Assassin shoots the guardians, and fails to wound, Giggles the Cherubim shoots them and fails to wound, the Lexmechanic (named Uber, EPIC overstatement) shoots the guardians and still no wound! The Junior Officer of the PDF (Sarge) shoots the Crusader and wounds his Flesh, the other Kasrkin shoots his Shotgun at the Crusader and causes a flesh wound! The PDF obviously had no clips of ANYTHING as the sniper shot with a pistol at the Penitent and failed the ammo check for that too! The Needle Rifle Eldar shoos the Acolyte and sedates him, The auto gun tries to shoot the Acolyte as well, but fails to hit, the Guardians fire at the Sister Hospitaller and Giggles, Flesh Wounding the Sister. The DA shoots the approaching Warrior Priest and gives him a Flesh Wound
Turn 3
Priority:Eldar, PDF, =][=
The Eldar on the circular building (Autogun) moved towards his buddy on the East objective, One of the Kasrkin charges the downed Acolyte and kills him, the Sniper charges the Crusader, The Lexmechanic and the Warrior Priest climb up onto the roof the L building, the Assassin slips into a coma and giggles and the Sister Hospitaller move toward the Guardians.
Shoot
The Needle Rifle Eldar sedates Valentine, the Autogunner kills the Sister Hospitaller, The DA Fails to hit the Warrior priest directly in front of him The Guardians fire at Giggles and knock him over. The Shotgun Kasrkin fire their pistols at the penitent and both miss, Sarge knocks the Penitent down, the Plasma gunner misses Valentine. The Warrior Priest misses the DA as does his Lexmechanic friend

The Sniper kills the Crusader
Turn 4
Priority: Eldar, =][=, PDF
Move
The guardians run forward and one charges Giggles, who is killed for being down, a sombre silence grips the battlefield the DA charges the Warrior Priest, The Assassin comes out of his coma but is still sedated, he crawls away from the Eldar, Valentine Picks himself up. The Lexmechanic charges the occupied DA, the Sniper charges the downed Penitent, who dies. the =][='s darkest hour is about to begin... Sarge and a loyal Kasrkin charge Valentine.
Shoot
Needle rifle Eldar shoots the assasin, causing a flesh wound, the Autogun Eldar fires at him too, and kills him
CC
the DA knocks over the Lexmechanic but fails to affect the warrior priest. Sarge and the Kasrkin annhialate Valentine
Turn 5
Priority: PDF,=][=,Eldar
Move
The Sniper, Sarge and the Kasrkin move toward the L building, the Autogun Eldar moves right on top of the East objective, the Guardians move further toward the L building,
Shoot
The Needle Rifle Eldar shoots the Kasrkin and misses, as does his autogun friend,

with no more shooting, we go straight to the decisive combat between the DA and the Warrior Priest, this could make the game a loss for the =][=, or a three way tie, guess what, absolutely NOTHING happens

NorthWest objective: PDF
East Objective: Eldar
Rooftop Objective: Contested

Eldar: 1
PDF: 1
=][=: 0

with most of his gang dead, and 1 of the 2 survivors unconscious, the other locked in a brawl, it is an EPIC LOSE for the Inquisition! A draw between PDF and Eldar

remember, down isnt the same thing as dead!!!

Hey, this thing would probably do better in the blogs section, since that´s what it looks like it´s going to be.

The models look alright, you might do well with basing them more... "Interestingly". Look at Migs and friends for inspiration, or my thread possibly.

Also, as far as the terrain, the quality matters not so terribly much,but I am noticing that there is very little of it on the table.
When your gang is only 5-10 models worth at the beginning, you really need some terrain to hide behind, and though the original building sets for necromunda are sadly unavailable, pretty much any terrain will do, as long as you get a lot of it, and make it tight and claustrophobic.

Oh, and also... Please please please, don´t bump your threads too much, it makes you seem desperate. Much better to have some patience. Some people, including myself at the moment, don´t have too much time to check forums, but when I do, I´ll check the front three pages at least. Patience is a virtue.
