So here's an idea that I had for years.....
I've always been a big fan of the Resident Evil series and wanted to do something tabletop related about it. Altough I never got around to build that Lost and the Damned 40k army I imagined ( GW dumping the idea of such a list at all wasn't helping either) the idea just stuck. And suddenly there's this new supplement for Battlefield Evolution, called Apocalypse Z. You can check out my thread about if you like http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/223416.page but the basic idea is: it's a list full of stuff to create a really bad-a$$ Zombie force, with a bunch of interesting special units like the Zombie Super Soldier. A very powerful creature who can wield up to two special weapons. One is a chain gun (don't you even try talking about the movie ) and the other is a rocket launcher. So, rules for a super Zombie creature with a rocket launcher, ey. I just had to build me a Nemesis right away.
In the end, I'm not that satisfied with it, which may have something to with the fact that the GW plastic zombie head I used as basis doesn't look the least bit threatening. Well I guess it's the thought that counts. This is just something I wanted to do for ages, and then I finished it in two nights and I probaly should've put more effort in it.

The head doesn't look anything like Nemesis, and I'd say the skin tone is way too bright, but other than that, it's pretty spot-on. Nice work.
You should totally do a William Burkin conversion (in his first form). That would make for one of the most awesome miniatures ever.

I agree the yellow skin is a bit OTT. I always saw Nemesis as being a greeny-grey tan kind of colour.
Great concept for a figure!

Where's the ammo?!? You need a zombie underling to hold all the rockets
Looks great, though. Am I a horrible person for enjoying the movie monster version?

his pose isn't daunting enough for nemesis, he could be plunging his tentacles into someones brain. but i like everything else on the model. thet head isn't that bad. it's about as good as you can get. if you wanted to i think the fw world eater heads look nemesisy. you would need to gs a bit, but the teeth are the main reason. that wold be very expensive though...

Nah, I like the yellow. But the old game looks so gakky it's hard to tell.

Why, he just needs one to shoot down the rescue helicopter

Only if you liked the games before the movie

He's based on a Heroclix mini, that's why his body looks so static. I'm not really a fan of corpses on bases, so I'll pass on the victim idea.
The 'Zerker head looks nice, but I'm not going to pay 20 bucks just for a head
Thanks for the comments, now I feel a little better about it
Next up is probably the Zombie Overlord. Anybody got an ideas on how I could modell Wesker
edit: interesting. I just witnesed the Dakka curse word detector in action.

I love the RE games. The first movie was watch-able, but the rest *gag*
Just curious, how big is it? The unnameable movie it is from was human size, but in the games, it towered above the people and just about everything else.
I really like the look of your model. Are you going to do others from RE? Love the idea of Burkin, but how about the Garrador from RE4?

I'll post another pic later, I'm not at home right now.
And yes, I do plan do build more RE stuff for my new army, but probably nothing out og part 4. I'll stick with Umbrella creations, intentional and otherwise
I guess up next would be a unit of dogs and probably the classic Tyrant. Does anyone have any ideas how I could build hunters?

Something from the Lizardmen Range has to be appropriate for a Hunter.
I'd personally try converting an oldblood.

For those of you who are familiar with Apocalypse Z or at least the Battlefield Evo rules
P.S. I hope this still counts as tabletop related image
