I love Kroot but dislike Tau's play style, and I love Grey Knights but already have Space Marines. I did not know what new army to play so I decided to mix the two.

This is my P&M Log to help give me an extra boost of motivation while working on my Zealots as well as share my progress with the community at the same time. Greatly inspired by Starcraft's Protoss Zealot and Halo's Sangheili(Elite), I converted Tau Stealth suits to creat my Zealots. I am using Grey Knight rules for them because I love the idea of the elite few.

The Kett tribe are a group of zealous Kroot which rebelled against the forces of the Greater Good. They frequently raided tau settlements, taking technology and weapons. The shapers consumed members of the Earth Caste until they became technologically savvy to the point where they were able to make modifications and upgrades and even created their own technology to fit their way of combat. Though very few in number, they are a formidable force and usually work for the highest bidder.

Holy cr*p! Why hasn´t this been done sooner, this is awesome stuff dude!

Some better pics would be great, the macro function is your friend for close up of models.

This thread is supported by me at least. Go go Zealot Kroot!

I like the idea. Always good to see some kroot, and if tau get killed by them, you can't lose!

However, I'm pretty sure the Earth Caste doesn't have a genetic knowledge of technology. They're not Mekboys. I don't think consuming them would do the kroot much good.

Anuvver fing - when they do sumfing, they try to make it look like somfink else to confuse everybody. When one of them wants to lord it over the uvvers, 'e says "I'm very speshul so'z you gotta worship me", or "I know summink wot you lot don't know, so yer better lissen good". Da funny fing is, arf of 'em believe it and da over arf don't, so 'e 'as to hit 'em all anyway or run fer it.

Thank you for all the comments. I have assembled my second Zealot and began brainstorming ideas for the body of my "Grey Knight Dreadnought" which will be very similar to the Starcraft Dragoon.

Before and after the necessary trims.

My horrible GS work.

Assembled with comparison to a SM.

Something about them just works surprisingly well, I like it.

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).

Looking better and better.

The dragoon looks interesting, I hope you figure out a way to make it as awesome as the zealots.

I'm so confused by this. But then, I've never played Starcraft. The conversions look solid, though.

Man, I wish there was a real Black Library where I could get a Black Library Card and take out Black Library Books without having to buy them. Of course, late fees would be your soul. But it would be worth it. - InquisitorMack

I guess with a bit of green stuff the plastic bloodletters would make excellent Dark Templar

Excellent conversion by the way I highly recommend the Blood Angels codex or a deathwing army with lightning claws for such a force.

I began this project about a year ago but I found myself with much less hobby time due to the military. I still work on these guys whenever I get a chance, even though I have two other armies still needing their finishing touches. Anywho, here are some updated pictures.

I'll be working on a couple of more Kroot once I get home.

They look really good, keep up the good work. My only suggestion would be to use real blades instead of cut up pulse rifles. I think that would make them look really cool.
