New SHT:

the Lightblade , based on the well known Baneblade, it fields a twin-barrel TurboLaser.(destructor/annihilator?).

Turret ready now and placed on a baneblade chassis.
Sponsons will be Autocannon/Lascannon, so I have to get this main un on a freshly built body.

Does this look like a very big Lascannon or should i "upgrade" anything to bring it more to the Las-weapon style?

May be tough, but I'd suggest beveling the muzzle ends back, like other las weapons..

<Rarity> I am not whining, I am complaining! Do you want to hear whining?

Thiiis is whiiiiining! Oooo, this mini is too expeennsive! I'm' going brrookee! Can't you make it cheaper? Oh, it's resin and not metal anymore! Why didn't you take it off the sprue first? That's gonna leave a pour spout, and the FLGS is so far away, WHY DO I HAVE TO SUPPORT IIIIIIIT?! </Rairty>

The ends don't look much like they'd shoot lasers. Try giving them the angled look of a las weapon.

i've thougth about a lascannon-esqe look too, but the real heavy lasweapons at titans are different in design.
so my take on Turbolaser was "inspired" by the warhound.the actual muzzle is able to focus
havent glued it yet,and the chassis has to be done, thus i'm not bound to a design and could improve.

Tried the "lascannon-muzzle" but it went to look like a greater vanquisher. :S

So returned to first design and here it is:

That kind of looks like a Macharius Vanquisher.

"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling, which thinks that nothing is worth war, is much worse. The person, who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature who has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."

I think i should paint those white parts codex grey to keep them "in line" with the grey plastic

Angualar is fine for standard size lasers, but the Turbolaser (mounted on warhound and others) seems to have
a design like a cannon but without any muzzle.
Also the used baneblade barrels will look like a vanquisher ( thanks CK ) and i may need to change the look abit.

I agree with your preference for the super las weapon look as opposed to an overgrown las-cannon. That being said I feel it needs something more to establish that it is in fact a twin-linked laser destroyer as opposed to a twin-linked shell based cannon. I would rework the base of the barrels where they attach to the turret, bulk them out like you see here:

This is the actual FW mini I believe, as well as

What I would guess is a homemade version.
Also you could add more details to the turret itself to differentiate it more from the generic baneblade, stuff like exhaust vents, exterior power cabling, maybe some support girders between the barrels? Etc. Cool concept in any case.

Upgraded main weapon with plastic vents,alu-tubes and some paint.

This may look better now and i'll find time to paint it.

The wiring does make it look more laserish.

And kudos for going the lascannons on the sponsons.

Thanks

Added first layer of paint and general camo-scheme today.
Began with dust-grey (r 77), set some brighter spots with stone grey (r75) and some darker spots with tank grey (r 78).

Will do the details next.

I have to agree, looks great. The cables on the tops of the barrels are inspired. They really sell the laser, I think.

Great job.
