What do you mean gone? It's nothing but a vicious cycle of error messages and sound with no corresponding video. GW probably sabotaged it and then put it out there just to screw with us.

Get the correct codecs and you'll have video with that sound.

It's also a zip archive that has to be joined up with filesplitter or something, then it should play with the right codecs (rapidshare has a limit on file size per upload, but you can split files and use multiple uploads).

It's a .Rar file and It works fine on my computer. It is all in German though.

I honestly didn't expect this to happen, given the risk to the guys who made it. I mean, it had to have been one of a very small number of people.

I am glad it got out, pity it has been split into .rar files in a hackjob way.

The orignal was supposed to have subtitles attached, though now it is out it is only a matter of time before the community assembles the film into asingle file, tidies it and adds the subtitles.

Just finished watching Damnatus, it was not worth the internet petition and GW was right to prohibit its release.

The action is so clunky I couldn't help but laugh and almost every scene has at least one cliche. If it was anything other than 40k I would have stopped watching it.

It was a fan film, what were you expecting? It was never billed as a multimillion dollar professional film.

I loved it and thought it was absolutely fantastic for a fan film. Thanks a lot for this Christmas gift to whoever did it =) There are subs btw, for the majority of us who don't speak German.

I suggest watching without sound, and making up your own dialogue track - or better yet, get several friends together and make your own MST3K

Mine played without sound, and I did this... it turned out to be alot of fun!

Movie was terrible, btw. Not bad for a fan made film, but still terrible overall.

Isn't that ironic? Of course, it could have been Star Wreck quality, and GW would've still prohibited it, due to the way the relevant laws are set up. I hope this released version provides someone some entertainment, and gives the team that worked on the film some closure.

The real question is actually, was this the completed film or the copy of the leak from 2006 from in the middle of post production.

Ahhhh crap!!! I waited years for this movie to come out, and now I'm offshore on a satellite accoutn that makes 56k look like broadband!!! I can't come close to downloading this! Got it from IsoHunt last night. Just watched a snippet this morning and it's showing as about 1hr 30min long. Also appears to have the english subtitles with it. I will use TMPGEnc to add then a finished format later.

Hmm, if anyone wants to do an English film and have fun with t'legal system before it gets leaked out anyway, I'm a good writer (trumpet blowing a speciality) and run a Creative Writing class so if it has other faults, it won't have cliches.
