Some years back, I think it was when GorkaMorka hit the shelves, my local Gamesclub came up with a new game, Formula Waaghh Racing. I entered and ran 6 teams in the tournament and selected light, fast buggies. You could have entered a battlewagon in the race which was not fast, but, when it got lapped (which it did lots) it got to shoot the out of the car lapping it. Great fun! I particular like the No. 9 Speed Squig Team Gazza Racing as the driver has pulled off the steering wheel. Simple little conversions like this really make the model I find.

I converted these very simply, by using the MKI dozer blade as a rear spoiler and front spikes. I re positioned the rear exahust. For the Zzap Kartz I added a roll cage, a sqaure warhammer base, a Chimera track wheel, and then the Zzap Gun. These served me really well and looked the part at the time!

Those are great! The actual blades in front somehow make them look like they go faster. You've done great things with the old buggy kit, very inspirational. Shows that even a kit as old as that can look great with a little work.

The games we used to play with them were really fun to play. I miss GorkaMorka, it was such a class game.

consider the rollcage and square base idea stolen, im not into fluff reli, but i do wonder if orks would put spoilers on their buggys, coz their all about speed, and spoilers create downforce which is used for improving grip at the rear for cornering, which in turn reduces top speed?!

but i dont care coz i think the models look gr8!!!

oh and wat material did you use for the rollcage???

The material is actually wire mesh, bought in sheets from Wickes DIY store, have a mooch around the drains, guttering or fencing, you'll find it. It's great for making model fences, ladders etc etc.
