Considering you did considerably well with the chimptastic cardboard, maybe a small cardstock frame could be made with some plasticard. And some greenstuff sculptage?

Pretty good start. The only think is that it looks like you attempted the dark eldar scale effect with paint only. I suggest making each "scale" from a seperate piece of cardboard.

Also cardboard makes terrible bases. warps like crazy.

Yeah Dark Eldar are not popular these days, maybe picking up some actual ones might look a bit better?

Nice try but if your using cardboard its best to get some plaster for the edges. im only guessing its dark elder from this and the last one you made but honestly its really bad dude you should just save up your money and buy some models. i would rather jump off a cliff then play that army your making. but on the other hand i dont think you should give up cause if you keep trying it will get better and better so if you like making your own units then go for it.

While I am all for people trying to convert and experiment with modelling....well, to be honest....your models make me cry....

I would chalk this up to learning experience and work with some other materials....

Your idea is sound. I would suggest cheap plastic and other strong bits. May a cardboard form for the cuts and you should be able to do a bunch.

Try getting some cheap plastic to use, cardboard is horribel to work with/paint.

to be honest cardboard is really good to use to make things ive been doing it since i was 8 im now 23 but to make something out of cardboard it has to be makeable like buildings and castles and such, making minis with card board is just funny.

Yes there are but they are to be made with plasticard.

Cardboard can work, but it tends to look more shoddy.

I do agree that making buildings and terrain out of cardboard can work, as I used to do that in my youth, now I use Foarmcore and plasticard though.

Yeah, echoing what oblivion said. Cardboard is too malleable and rough to use for models of that scale. Bigger things, like tanks, will turn out ok but not as good as with plasticard (sheet styrene)
