So, has Paul been sitting munching on chocolate and provling on dakka all winter?

No not really I haven't. What follows is a small showcase of what I have been working on.

First of is the truck. This is a scratch-built extra armoured beast wich in warhammer 40000 will be a bloodaxe recon buggy and is also my gorkamorka mobs ride. Half the work was the rivets. But It is wellworth it in the end.

Next up come my kommandos. These have affectionaly been named bushboys. See for yourself why.The greenery on them is from old citadel hedges. I am very happy with the end result.

Last off (Will be shown in a update very soon) Is a second edition bad moon orka dreadnought I have painted for my father. It was given quite a quick paintjob and I will probably be touching it up at a later point.

See, now THAT'S an ork trukk. It looks like a real vehicle, not a leftover prop from chitty-chitty bang-bang!

And the old-skool dred is also excellent, even if it isn't in a propa color.

Question regarding the kommandos: did the field caps come from 1/35 scale germans or were they scratch builds?

Apart from the goblin green bases that very good work you did there. The truck is fantastic, but a tad too long in my opinion.

Nice work Paul! The trukk came out great, especially the cabin and gunner detail. Great Blood axe ride. Paint on the bushboys looks good too. I dig the little details, like the coil of rope over one Kommando's shoulder. It's little touches that seal the deal for me, nicely done.

My only real beef is the front axle of the trukk seems a bit exposed. Without a skirt or plating, it looks a bit vulnerable. But then again, we're only talking AV10. Perhaps a front bumper of sorts would help mask it?

YO DAKKA DAKKA!

Sneaky gits!

I love the colour scheme on the dread, it reminds me of good old ork armour from 15 years ago... plus the it distracts the enemy from the Bushboyz, no matter how bungled their attempts at infiltration may turn out!

Very nice, It's funny how similar your kommandos and Mine are. We have almost the same home made burna conversion and bush idea. I'll post some pic soon.

Once again, very cool figs.

Well I am glad you guys like the truck, and yes the wheela and some parts of the axles are lego (when it comes to scratch building vehicles there is just one factor of note: availability of wheels. You just can't do without them). They where the only ones i had. the truck holds eight 25 mmm bases without overlap. Thanks teek I might go by your advice.

The bushboys have small grape stems for branches and citadel hedge greenery. the field cap is from the same M113 kit that I made the sqino from (from the last thread I made showcasing my work).

Thanks all of you.

I LOVE the Bushboys. I don't know any way they could be improved! I like the Dredd, though I prefer the new version. I love the trukk too, though the front axle bugs me a bit. I really think a bit of work on the axle could move it from very good to exceptional.

Did you make the trukk load bed floor from drilled out or punched out plasticard?

I agree. With all the effort that went into the truck, a little more than unconverted Lego Wheels seems like it should be mandatory.

Excellent plasticard work though.

I think the Lego Wheels are fine, plus the converted hub caps really make them work. They will be fine once painted.

No, the truck floor was a piece of metal plates with holes in it I found a use for.

I do think the wheels will work
