ok here we go this is the first of many challenges i will make and here is the first one. this challenge is simply to post and display your favourite models, with a theme each time, so that other modelers can get some inspiration. this time, the theme is mini-titans. here is my model- a mini titan i made using parts from the defiler and basilisk kits, featuring an extra killy spinny fing, for my black templar force.in games, it uses the rules for the brass scorpion.

I can imagine this as something a bunch of techmarines made for a beloved commander, because a regular dread was just not powerful enough, or impressive enough.

Nice model, I never thought of using a basilisk shield for that purpose. The legs look a bit weak however, maybe you could put some armor plating around the foot area to make them more like titan legs.

It's a knight paladin. It uses the leg from a defiler kit, plasticard for torso, sentinel for the head and COD Manufactorum bits for detailing.

bottbott: thanks, and yeah, the sentinel will be making quite a few appearances I guess. It's nice, detailed, and one of the few one-man cockpits out there. I considered the body of the AOBR dreadnought as well for a head, but it isn't as detailed and didn't feel right.

If y'all are creating Knight-class Titan-type thingies, you might find the new Horus Heresy book "Mechanicus" inspiring. It features a unit of Knights, and compares their vehicles to the capabilities of Titans and infantry. It's also a good read on it's own (and even better when you read Titanicus right beforehand, as they're very much related, down to sharing slang and historical elements).
