Local store was relocating and having a 25% off sale so I broke down and bought some Black Orcs.
Stats-wise, they are pants in WHFB but I'd wondered how they would work as MegaNobz.

I don't have pics yet but I used Blorc axe blades to make a three-fingered power claw. I used the Boyz Nob twin-shoota as his gun, all mounted on the larger round bases for termies. Topped the thing off by placing some extra Ork vehicle armor bitz on the thing's back. From what I can tell, it's comparably sized to the metal models.

It's not as brilliant as a lot of stuff I've seen but for the price of bases and $25 for the Blorc box, I can get 5 - 10 MegaNobs.
When you consider the price of a single Mega Nob is $15, that's pretty nice. Plus it has the weapons combos that I want, not just what blister happens to be available.

Anybody done this/similar?

I've been considering trying to convert some plastic meganobz. That sound like an excellent idea!

Don't have the Ork Codex, I take it there are no more Feral Orks? Otherwise they's be awesome for that.

Can you put up pictures of your conversion? I always wanted to convert e.g. my Black Reach Bossmob into MegaNobz and need inspiration.

lol the one in the middle is the non mega nob. that still looks pretty decent tho. hmm I might wander over to the GW site and look at those Black Orks. Might have found a way to make them cheaper. nice one fellas
