Basically every time i paint, i run into the same problem ( new , old brush both the same result )
so i wet the brush, dab excess water off on towel , dip the first 4mm ish of the brush into the paint,
and draw it out. Everything seem normal till
i apply the brush onto the mini . the brush head just branches into different directions.
why is this happening??? I cant paint anything when i cant control my brush D":

Its hard to tell without seeing exactly what you're doing, but try gently rotating the brush as you draw it across the mini and press on as lightly as possible.
Also, I know you're wetting the brush but are you also thinning down the paint? If not, try it as thick paint can sometimes splay the bristles.

Sounds like you are pushing too hard, or have really dodgy/the wrong type of brush for the job.

Hi
It may be that you are pushing the brush across the figure.
Try to drag the brush across the surface, so you are painting not with the tip but with more of the brush.
Also, you don't want a pool of paint on the brush when you put it on the figure - dip it in the paint and then wipe off the excess on the outside of the container.
Things I also do:
* rotate the brush as you paint it across a figure in fine spots to ensure it retains a point
* suck the clean brush in your mouth gently before applying paint to it - the saliva is a little more viscous and you can get some good control
Cheers

Well, he did say he was using a GW 'detail' brush ...
Hard to know without seeing the effect. Could be down to any one of a number of different things.

Are you always drawing the brush in the direction of the bristles? Moving the brush from side to side spreads the bristles and ruins the brush. To best preserve your brushes always pull the brush in the same direction and paint in strokes parallel to the bristles. Turn the model, not the brush to change angles.

That's your problem, right there. G-Dubbs' brushes are GARBAGE. They fishtail and hook almost as soon as they hit your paint. Pure crap.
Go to a Michael's near you (or similar craft store) and spend the seven bucks on some Kolinsky Sable or some Scepter Gold II hybrids. You'll thank yourself later.

Try dipping the brush back into the water after you take it out of the pot, then roll it gently as you draw it across your palette. This should give you a nice shape to the brush and an even distribution of paint.

Does this happen with every paint you use or just with one colour....maybe you forgot the container half-open and it dried out. Are you using citadel paints? And what the guys above said...GW-brushes are crap AND expensive.

Try making yourself a Wet Pallet, once you use it you'll never go back.
