Hi y'all! It's me G.E.S, and I was wondering if Dark Heresy is any good. I checked out the prices for it on overstock and amazon, where it's around 35 bucks, and at my Borders it's 50. I remeber my Dad telling me he used to play D&D, so I figured this is just it in the future, and can make for some great bonding. But I don't care if I can get it cheaper if it's not good, so if anybody knows if it is I'd really appreciate if you could lend a hand.

It's worth the 50 bucks for reading material alone.
So yes, it's oh so delectably worth it.
... and it's an fun RPG too, bonus points

Sweet. Guess I'l pick it up and see if my Dad wants to give it a whirl. By any chance, are the expansions worth it? Also, howlong does one game last, and how people could/should play it?

4-5 players and 1 game master would be the best way to go.
The expansions are also great.
I'd suggest each player making a backup character, it tends to be a harsh world for a character to survive in.
The basic book has everything to start a game (including an intro adventure).

Well alright then. Classic Doug Benson reference. Hmmm, You say that at least six is the best way, but what if only me and my dad want to play? And my schools gaming club has only people that play Yugioh or Chaotic. So two might work, but.... aw screw it. Twos fine, right?

It's a role playing game, so you can play with one game master and one player.
but it would be a better experience with at least 2 player's (plus one game master)

How... How long do you think we'll be doing this? Just out of curiosity. not that I don't like it. Just wondering.

I've been running my kids in a D&D game for maybe 3 years so far. It can last as long as you want.

Spin a good tale and the people will invest their interest into it, come up with a "kill the heretics because they are evil" scenario and it might be another bash with no real gains. Length also seems to depend on how well the GM can run a game and how the players react to it.

I do hope the card has a nice picture on it and is written in something intelligible. Don't forget the little XOXOXO at the bottom darling.
