Bonkers Buggy Driver with Rockets

Latest model to be painted, and then subsequently flogged on Fleabay. This has to be one of my favourite models from GW. I love the model, the rules for him, and especially the background. This guy wears a Stealth Suit and so I've painted him in dull colours to give him an 'earthy' feel. The suit is black, highlighted up to Fortress Grey for the extreme highlights in 4 stages. The armour and weapons are Foundation Granite, highlighted up through 5 stages to Foundation Gretchin Green at the extreme. The metallics have not been highlighted, as in the real world they would be dulled down so as to not reflect light. For the base I've used barbed wire and parts from the latest ruined city buildings.

That looks really nice. The base is excellent.

"Yes, you're gonna be the most fethin' cool tank!!" burning hot tears streaked down Altharius's face, as he held his brother's soul in his grasp.

Nice, do you do all your Ebay models bases in that sort of style? cause its very similar to your Pedro Kantor that was on here a couple days ago. And the little  on the rim of the base is a great addition.

Base does look almost identical to your Pedro but I loved that one too. Great work especially on the weapons and armor, basically everything.

The base looks great, I definitely wouldn't knock it. If I could paint that well at the speed you do I would actually have finished the huge pile of stuff I have sitting here.

Nuclear: Properly pronounced new-clear, not new-cue-lir. There is no 'u' between the c and l, so stop saying it because it just makes you sound like a dumbass. This includes nucleolus, and all other derivatives of the word.

I do those sort of bases because they are easy to do, I have the parts to do them, and they make an impact. I fimly believe the base makes the model. An average painted model on a painted flocked base looks, well, average. Now place that average model onto a good base, and the whole model looks good.
